Zenith Zenith 34273 wrist watches news:
I bought this Seiko 5 watch in August 2008 and now I am having problems with it. It moves waaaaay too fast. It does 1 min. in 37 seconds. Wean a regular that keeps the time have gone 37 seconds my Seiko have gone 1 minute. Does anyone know what the reason for this could be?Is it a way I can fix it?
I have a couple of Ryans; one with a refinished dial, the other with an original dial (or so I've been led to believe). As the images show, the refinished dial is silver whereas the original has a golden hue. Is this attributable to ageing/patina or is it correct for this model? Or is the refinished silver version correct? (It's not a trick of the light, the images are a good representation of the real colours).Refinished'Original'Vendor images, my watchesThanks, stales
The oldest known instrument used to measure time is called a gnomon. It is simply some type of vertical post - a stick, column, or stone - that casts a shadow. When the shadow is at it's shortest length it is noon. Hour indicators were later added around the base resulting in the sundial: Sundials are not always horizontal, they can be mounted vertically on a wall:Solar based instruments don't have to be flat either, as shown by this invention called a polos:Some instruments could be used in daylight or darkness. Below is an altimetric ring, or nocturlabium. It could be used to measured time at night. It was hung by the metal loop at the top. The user then adjusted the date on the ring dial and then looked through the center opening at the Pole Star which is the only relatively stationary star in the sky. Then the user pointed the indicator of the nocturlabium along the two outermost stars of Ursa Major (the Great Bear). Their positions determine the time shown on the instrument b
I was poking around the Web last night and came across the Tudor web site. But no matter how much I searched the site, I couldn't find any ADs in the U.S. I always thought it was a defunct brand, given all the fabulous out-of-production Tudors that are posted on WTF. So, are they sold in the U.S.? If so, where?
Hi folks! It is no secret on TRF that dealer cost for a Rolex is 62% of the MSRP. However, can someone please tell me what is dealer cost for an Omega? I searched, and could not find updated information. A Google search revealed that some years back it was 55% of the MSRP. However, I am not certain if this is accurate. I would really appreciate updated and accurate information. Thank you.
