- Nice watch. I got this watch for the vibrating alarm so as to not wake my wife. It works well for that but I actually liked it and wear it during the day also.

Zenith 03.1220.67/51.C532 wrist watches news:
Rolex applies for a patent on a new case-up method that decreases shock to the movement by 60%.Rolex could be planning to release watches with improved shock-resistance very soon. A recent United States patent application by Rolex details a new type of component used in their Rolex Oyster cases that is said to reduce shock to the movement by up to 60%. The patent covers the casing of a watch and the use of a two special rings to secure the movement versus more traditional techniques like using screws or a bracket. The solution is both useful and very simple, and we believe it will show up in Rolex watches soon.Patent application # 20130286798 begins by giving background on the invention as a new means of casing-up movements into watch cases in a way that results in fewer broken parts from a shock and reduces the shock to the movement by 60%. This follows a history of other shock absorption improvements, such as the balance bridge introduced with the 3135 calibre."Various tests, includi
Both are lower end watches from both makers, but, they fit my budget and I like the way they look.First, the Swiss Military Hanowa Mountain Guide. Swiss made, Swiss quartz, and sapphire crystal. It is light, thin, and smaller watch. For less than a $100 I don't think you can go wrong with this watch. The other watch is a Victorinox Maverick II Dual Time Zone. Swiss made, quartz, anti-reflective sapphire, water resistant to 330 feet, and a rotating bezel. Of the two, this is the watch I really like. The anti-reflective crystal is simply amazingly clear and the watch face has subtle variations that constantly catch your attention. Quality wise, in my collection, I'd put this up there with my Hamilton Khaki King. It looks and feels well made. Plus, the rubber strap has a nice feel to it.
My wife has a 33mm RO Quartz and the battery is now dead. I need some advice on how to go about getting a new battery. The forum here says:10. Stay away from a RO Quartz as changing the battery is something that needs to be done every 2-3 years. To change the battery you need to disassemble the whole watch. Remove the bezel, dial, hands, crown, etc. to access the movement and then replace the battery. If done by an independent there are a ton of things that can go wrong. Then again you will need to have AP do it and it gets really pricey even when it's just a battery change as they will still force you to do a periodic service.I would prefer not to send it in to Clearwater and skip the periodic service, is this something that my AP AD can do?thanks

... then again maybe I should just sell half my collection and buy one of these babies...And though this doesn't belong here - my AD had this one - and it was kinda neat looking (but hublot doesn't play in same league as AP yet ;)Current Collection:Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore RubbercladA Lange Sohne Lange 1 PlatinumJaeger LeCoultre AMVOX II DBSIWC Portuguese AutomaticBR 01-94 Phantom XXX/50Rolex Deep Sea Seadweller 2012Rolex Double Red Seadweller 1976Rolex Everrose Gold Daytona (black dial)Patek Philippe SS Nautilus
