G'day all, just got back from leave and want to share a great experience with you that my wife Tracey and I had as guests of Rolex at the Australian Tennis Open.I bought a LV Sub last year and was surprised when I got a phone call from the dealer in December inviting Trace and I to dinner at the tennis followed by the night session on day 1.The day finally came around and we drove to the AD, got on the mini bus with about 10 other lucky Rolex customers and set off for Rod Laver Arena.Straight to the Rolex Marquee for drinks, a lovely dinner and some great conversation. There were reps on each table from Rolex Aust and I enjoyed talking Rolex history etc etc. Absolute surperb hosts.We were all given a bag of goodies to take home. Each bag had a calender, 2 catalogs, shirt, cap and tennis balls! I was rapt as I like to collect Rolex nic-nacs. Top Time restoration questions
Still in the market for a Thunderball Top Time, as you all know (and thank you for indulging my narrow view of watches, via James Bond!). :cool:As I look and become more familiar w/ Breitling, and 1960s vintage Top Time models in particular, could anyone tell me what I'm getting into w/ something "less than perfect"? For example, scratched crystal: Difficult to polish out and/or replace (ie, are replacements still available)? Mechanism repair a challenge? If so, how specialized is it, or could my Omega Speedmaster shop handle this as well? You get the picture. Thanks!

Moisture ingress to 5711
Can anyone advise what I should expect to hear from PP service centre regarding moisture ingress to my 3.5 year old 5711? Clearly it's outside the warranty period but does that mean I'm stuck with the cost of service and repair to the movement, hands and dial?I was swimming in the pool, only on the surface, no diving etc. Watch was fine when I came out. I even took photos of it by the pool and it was perfect. Next day I was driving with my hand near the a/c vent and I noticed fogging on the crystal. I checked the crown and it was tight. It'll be several days before I can get it to the service centre so I'm worried that the damage could be extensive and hence costly. Jubilee Possible for OP 39mm?
I would like to replace the Oyster bracelet on my 114300 Oyster Perpetual 39mm with a Super Jubilee Bracelet. Is this possible? The lug width is 20mm I'm thinking a DJ 41mm Jubilee would work for the following reasons. The DJ 41mm is actually only 39mm and has a 20mm lug width. Even if the fit is not perfect, would this possibly work?I'm open to either the newer Jubilee, the older Jubilee, or possibly even an aftermarket as a very last resort.Thank you for any suggestions and advice.
