Zenith 03.2150.400/69.C713 wrist watches news:
When I first read about the new Ball Engineer Master II Slide Chronograph, I for some reason had the refrain of "Time keeps on slipping, slipping, slippinginto the future" pop into my head. Is this new Ball the future of chronographs? Well, time will tell. For now, though, it definitely is an intriguing iteration. If you were only to look at the dial of the new Ball Engineer Master II Slide Chronograph, you would have no problem identifying it as a chronograph: it has a traditional "tri-compax" layout with the 30-minute register up top, running seconds at 9, 12-hour register at the bottom, and a tachymeter scale around the outside. When you look to the side of the almost 48?mm case and see no pushers surrounding the crownthen you begin to question your assumptions.Slide In Its Neutral PositionOf course, a brand like Ball is not going to play games to give the appearance of a chronograph while actually tucking other functionality in;?so, how do you engage the chronograph? Hi TRF,Whilst wandering around the Tourneau today, I really was struck by just how incredible all Rolex watches are. The PM Daytonas, DDs, DJs, Smurfs, etc.--which tells you what they had--looked fantastic. Its not just that the Rolex watches look great under bright lights. All brand watches do. They're supposed to. The IWC's, Tudor, etc., also looked great. However, the Rolex watches just looked a cut above. Maybe its me and my desire to own a 16610LV, Sky Dweller, and perhaps even a GMT 1675, which is skewing my vision. I acknowledge my own bias. However, objectively, Rolex does seem seem to have some x factor quality that simply makes them stand out on an individual watch-to-watch basis. What do you think?Best,TA
Watching NCIS this season, I have noticed McGee, played by Sean Murray has been wearing a rose gold Daytona 116505 in most episodes. Likely his personal watch.
Rolex at one time made available the most gorgeous replacement Serti dials. These have all but disappeared. They can no longer be had through an AD. At least not in the Dallas, TX area. The aftermarket ones are of questionable build quality as I've sadly discovered. Does anyone have knowledge of why Rolex quit manufacturing them ?
