- I love the watch, but it came to me without working. I had to return it for this reason. Very Disappointing, because the watch is gorgeous.

I love this watchI wear it all the time, and it shows. Now I was wondering if anyone else thought that this baby needs a restoration. I figure I can give it an overhaul (aesthetic wise) for around 600-700 by replacing the dial, bezel, crystal and case back with oem parts. The main issues for me are the broken green on the 24 hour sub dial and the dirt/age around the bezel. I figure I can live with the color off of the crowns; that was never known to last anyways. On the plus, I love the feel of a vintage watch and the look. I also have the original bracelet. Think it is a good idea? Or should I keep the watch as is and wear it in its used and abused glory?
So got a chance to see the New Blue Dial ROC with silver sub dials...... am i the only one in the whole wide interweb that thinks the colour is a little dark/flat and almost navy in real life. I meant there are some amazing pictures out there of the dial but i didn't really see that translate in real life, maybe it was the lighting in the store but being a jewelry store the lights were plenty bright. Don't get me wrong its a beautiful watch but i just didn't see the pop in the dial color that i was expecting from all the pictures i've seen.
Some close-up macro shots I have taken of my DSOTM revealing all the little details. And all these taken with just a Samsung Note 3 smartphone and a clip-on macro lens! Smartphones have indeed come a long way!
Hi,I came across 1998 issue of the Explorer ii. I dont have any Rolex yet and was considering Explorer 1 214270. However, this pre-owned piece is in good condition, is sold by an AD, was serviced by them and AD gives additional 2 yrs warranty. The case has normal wear, some of the numbers on the bezel are losing paint and bracelet is missing extra links so I have to buy them or put on nato/leather. I should also mention that box and papers are included. Please share your opinion regarding buying 20yr old Rolex vs new or under 5 year old. The price is competitive, so not sure if there are any gotchas I don't know about or AD wants to get it out. This watch was at the store for at least 6 months now. If you can share price that you believe this should be at, it would help as well. I already checked eBay and chrono24Thank you
