Zenith 03.2150.400/69.M2150 wrist watches news:
“No more than eight thousand.” That’s the answer I always get when I ask a prospective vintage Rolex buyer what their price range is. Always Eight. Five isn’t enough to work with, and ten – well that’s just so… ten.I’ve helped so many of my friends and colleagues buy watches that are within the $8,000 range that I thought I’d share some of my recommendations with you. Take advice from a guy with a roll of mistakes he bought at the airport on a layover, me.John Mayer Obviously, you’re not making a mistake if you buy that new Panerai Luminor you’ve had your eye on, but it is a mistake if you buy one and then wish you’d been turned on to the unmistakable cool of a vintage Rolex earlier. Take it from a guy with a roll of lessons he bought at the airport on a layover. Here are five vintage Rolex references under $8,000, and why I believe they’re the best buys on the market. 1. ROLEX Explorer I
Unless they get deleted on this site too (If you've already seen this post somewhere else, then disregard...if not, here ya go)I am totally blown away. I finally get it I get the "why" behind the defection in part to this site. I posted the following post plus some extra pics that don't have my wrist in the shot or a watch in the shot and those all got deleted. Someone in the post asked me if the car I drove down in was an X5 as the dash looked like his in my wrist shot, and I posted that it was actually a different model and included a pic of the car. That whole post was deleted too because it didn't have my watch in it. I'm really steamed right now, but I guess the rules are the rules, even if the rules have changed drastically along the way. I'm sure they felt it was an outside issue and we can't diverge from the topic at hand, watches, watches and watches. Sohere's my humble little post. If it gets deleted here too, then I guess any non-watch shots are totally innappropriat
Could someone explain to me the difference between the 2500 and 8500 co-axial movements? I know the 2500 is based on the 1120, which in turn is based on the ETA. The 8500 is an in-house movement. But that is as far as I know. Is one more accurate than the other one? Thanks
Equal or a lesser ROLEX? I do not own a Cellini yet. I find them very dressy ala vintage Rolex. Your thoughts, opinions welcome.
Or 8 per second....
