Zenith 51.2170.4650/81.C713 wrist watches news:
This is a big one. We've already shown you a beautiful steel, sector dial Laurent Ferrier for Only Watch 2015, and as of late last night, an incredible unique Tudor designed to mimic one the rarest vintage Tudors of all time (also the first officially unique offering from Tudor or Rolex, ever!) but the Only Watch offering from Patek is something special. The reason being that, in year's past, the charitable auction has, at the end of the day, been something of a one trick pony with more than half of the entire sale's proceeds coming from one watch – the Patek Philippe. In 2011, a stainless steel 3939 (minute repeating tourbillon) closed in on 2 million dollars. In 2013, a titanium 5004 broached the 4 million dollar mark, and now we've got yet another absolutely massive piece for 2015. This is the discontinued grand complicatoin reference 5016. In steel. Long time TRF member, first time post. No gratuitous unpacking shots but I did want to give a shout out to Fr. John and thank him for his referral. Jim from DC Jewelers is first class all the way and I would highly recommend him. I have been a long time Rolex guy (SS Daytona and DJII) this is my first Omega. The blue teak dial sold me. Pictures don't do this dial justice! Thanks again Fr. John
I joined the cult of Omega (that just sounds cool). I've never been much of a Seamaster fan but I do like the look of the vintage models. I happened across one the other day in the FS section and bought it. It should be here Monday or Tuesday and I am very excited to see it up close. A few NATO straps are on the way as well. Here is the seller's pic of my new early 50's Seamaster Calendar (wrist pics to follow). The watch looks pretty clean, runs well and comes from a reputable seller so I'll hold off on a service for a while. Any info you have to share on these classics would be appreciated. Thanks!
Anyone here have a Panerai 351? I am digging the brown dial and gold hands, but I haven't been able to see one in person. Thanks!
