Zenith 03.0560.4039/01.C647 wrist watches news:
For about 10 years ETA has been threatening to stop supplying third-party (outside the Swatch Group) watch brands with movement kits. The horological drama has been high, with the Swiss government weighing in several times, and ETA seemingly going back and forth with what they are going to do. Before Nicolas Hayek died, the latest was that ETA would no longer be supplying (ebauches) movement kits to third party watch brands, but they could get assembled kits. There were rumors that he actually would be giving kits to select outside Swatch Groups brands that he hand picked. Then he died, and now it isn't clear who will get ETA movements and how. Whatever the fact may be for the next few years, watch brands that used to rely on ETA movements have been looking elsewhere for alternatives. This is because completed movement kits from ETA would be much more expensive and much harder to get.One place many have looked to is Japan. While Japanese movements don't have the name prestige that Swis
Please excuse my fumblings, I have an old Lorus watch RFK016 Y588-5120, I have been told by Lorus UK that it is obsolete so will not fix. The winder is broken off in the workings although the watch does work. Can anyone please help me get hold of a mechanism as this watch is of great sentimental value to me. Any help be aprreciated.RegardsFERNCOT
I saw in a diver thread here that someone had a deep blue brand watch, after checking out their website I think there really great and they are very appealing for what I'm looking to spend on a watch right now. Does anyone here own one, and what are your thoughts and opinions on this brand?
Looking to add another AP to the 44mm 26400IO (titanium with ceramic bezel) I already have. Want something flexible for everyday wear. Considering either the newer ROC 26331 (most likely black face as I was underwhelmed with the white when trying it on) or...maybe go back in time to something more old school like the 26170 Panda. I want something on bracelet and do like the newer 26331 line. The bracelet is divine and I think it makes a great daily, however it may be a little too similar in design to the 44 chrono I already have. There is something about the older 42 that speaks to me. Years ago the Panda was the first AP I've ever owned and I've always loved it's flexibility (bracelet, strap, etc...), just not sure if it's a little dated in comparison.Thoughts and advice are always appreciated ! TIA
Improviz the hirsch straps look very nice. it arrived today i will get it fitted tommorrow. I had a question. The Hirsch straps i bought ( i bought 2 , black and dark brown) are 22mm leonardo principle range. They came with the spring pins included. But I was surprised how small they are. Barely sticking out of the sides when placed inside the strap. I was wondering are they really this small ? I have attached photos. If anyone else have bought hirsch 22mm straps for their PO's have a look. does the spring pins look big enough ?
