As part of their sale of Important Watches this year, Sotheby's is auctioning off a unique red gold IWC Special Edition Pilot's Watch Double Chronograph Edition "Le Petit Prince." We took a look at the stainless steel version?of the children's book-inspired watch, and this special version is being auctioned to benefit the?Antoine de Saint-Exup¨¦ry Youth Foundation. ?Antoine de Saint-Exup¨¦ry was, along with being the author of The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince,?en Fran?ais), an avid pilot who penned numerous books about the subject.It's hard not to find the "Le Petit Prince" watch attractive, and in red gold it's downright beautiful. The blue face with seven stars has, just like in the stainless steel model, a gold disc which "illuminates" a random star every day. It's not really too practical, since you'd have to assign a star to a day- but this isn't really a piece for practicality. Need help identifying / How much to get it in working condition?
Hi everyone,My dad has an old Omega Seamaster sitting in his closet that he says he hasn't worn in over 10 years. I've never been much of a watch person but I figured I could put it to use Can somebody help me identify which model it is? It's not terribly old. From what I've read about the the serial numbers, it was probably made in 94 (so I think that predates the bond series models, right?). It has a blue face, says "Seamaster" in script. "Professional" in caps below that and then "300m/1000 ft" below that - All white text. I've seen some with Seamaster written in red but that's not the case with this one. I'd upload a picture to help but I can't seem to find the camera cable.The battery appears to be dead but that's about all that's wrong with it. I've read that the waterproofing gaskets or whatever needs to be replaced every so often. I doubt that my dad would have ever taken it to get serviced so is that something that I would have to do? How much would getting all this done cost?

In the last 2 weeks, at least 3 very nice WGF Websters have sold on eBay from $150 to $210. I won one and bid on all three. There is a less nice one currently on eBay that is now up over $500. It seems that something might be not quite right. The listing is 250934573239. Any opinions or guesses why this one is so high?
