Zenith Zenith 30872 wrist watches news:
Here, we examine data from COSC that reveals the top 20 Swiss watch brands by number of COSC chronometer certificates issued to them in 2012. An interesting list for fans of swiss made watches. In 2012, COSC (Contr?le Officiel Suisse des Chronom¨¨tres), the official chronometer certification agency of Switzerland, issued 1.73 million chronometer certificates for swiss made watches. This marks a record high, up 6 percent over chronometer production in 2011. The 6-percent rise comes on top of a giant jump in 2011, when chronometer certificates increased by 28 percent. According to COSC¡¯s data, which WatchTime obtained from the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry, an additional 87,911 timepieces were submitted to COSC that did not pass the certification process for swiss made watches. In order for a watch to bear COSC¡¯s official title of chronometer, its movement must pass an extensive battery of tests. Hi folks,I just threw up a question on the watch forum and have a second question regarding my new Hamilton Power Reserve. To date, I have not actually "wound" the watch by twisting the crown. On the first day I did rotate my wrist in circles to mimic a spinning motion to get it up to 85%. Since then I have done the "spinning" occasionally, but not much.Is this an incorrect method of winding the watch? Is there a possibility that I caused some damage to it?Sorry, I'm a complete newbie and totally oblivious to these sorts of things....How should I be dealing with this power reserve? Thanks,Rick
I've looked on this wonderful forum for a few years now but never actually posted anything.Just wanted to introduce myself and thank you for educating me so much on fine timepieces.I'm based in London but yesterday I took the train to Paris for the day.I had a fantastic time and bought myself something nice to accompany my 15202.The watch stores in Paris are amazing and well worth a look.Whilst in the AP boutique, I asked how many steel 15202's they get a year and was told that last year, they got 6. They had one in their window yesterday incase anyone is looking for one. Thanks for taking the time to read this.Jeff
Firstly if anyone gets the chance to visit this event at the Saatchi gallery London go for it. I've just returned from spending a Couple of days in the capital and visited the exhibition on Saturday and Sunday. Amazing exhibition and top marks to Patek. So here's just a snippet of my weekend 🍻 The original Patek aviator watch Some beautiful enamel dials 😍Artist at work Hand engraving I had the pleasure of also chatting with one of the watchmakers based at the UK service centre who kindly let me handle his watch that he had made himself from scratch as part of his coursework if you should happen to pick up the grand master chime this is the box you will receive to compliment it . Sorry if the pics are a little jumbled guys but I've got that many and not much time to post so these a just a few Radom shots. Again if you get the chance to visit the exhibition go for it 🍻
