A. Lange & Sohne 101.032 wrist watches news:
Welcome back to an original watches-dealer feature, "My First Grail Watch." In this series, we ask prominent people in the watch industry about the first timepiece that they lusted after.watches-dealer (ABTW): Who are you and what is your relationship to the watch industry?Magnus Michelsen (MM): I¡®m the brother, son, grandson and great-grandson of watchmakers. Although I¡®m not a watchmaker myself, I've grown up admiring and working with watches. I am the Marketing Director of the Icelandic micro-brand Michelsen, the country¡®s oldest watch firm.ABTW: What was your first grail watch?MM: I¡®ve craved for a few watches, most of them relatively simple, like the blinged edition of Rolex GMT-Master II (116759SARU) and some Tags with Calibre S or Calibre 17 movements. My first real grail watch is the A. Lange & S?hne Datograph.ABTW: What did you like so much about the watch?MM: It¡®s simply a spectacular watch. The movement is so extraordinary beautiful. Hi everyone and thank you for letting me in.I am seeking for help in identifying a pocket watch, presumably a Patek Philippe. The watch movement has a 41 mm diameter. For this watch, I am looking for a new balance staff and any help will be appreciated.Thanks.
Decided to go by the Waltham Watch Factory and take some photos to share. The factory has been deserted for some time but offices are being built within the building. Here are some of the local residents who live near the factoryon the Charles RiverHere is the clockthe time is correct (unlike the City of Waltham clocks)Here is the back of the buildingthe white stuff you see is the frozen Charles RiverThe factory is 3 blocks longhere is half of it from the frontAnd here is the place just across the river where those who chose not to buy a Waltham watch wentvery prematurely. (just joking) You can see the factory in the background.
Hey guys, just a follow up from an earlier thread I posted. I received my superocean steelfish this week. I'm a permanent Breitling convert. I was first of all taken care of more than fairly by Bernard Watch Co. I received a new in box w/ papers blue dial superocean steelfish the day after they received my subdate. I needed to get the bracelet sized so stopped by the AD and he confirmed the watch was produced on 03/10 and was within cosc specs. I also received $895.00 with it for the difference in values from Bernard Watch. I love my new watch. I do miss the subdate, but I am content that I made the right decision. For anyone on the fence about breitling I say go for it. Unfortunately my iPhone doesn't give me the option to post pics. Thanks to those of you who encouraged me to take the leap.
Since the Omega was on the moon, did it show earth time?A day on the moon is 29.5 earth days. That would be quite the inner watch workings!
