Found this ad from presumably 1975 for the Submariner priced at $470. With a quick computation on the inflation calculator, the cost today would be $2250. Interestingly, the exchange rate of the Swiss Franc went from 3+:1 in the 70¡¯s to about 1:1 today. Perhaps this is the reason other Swiss watch brands followed the same trend?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
