- This watch is very classy and can be worn anytime. I received compliments from the first day I wore it. My wife likes it and my boss even paid me a compliment on its style. The watch has a solid feel to it and it is easy to read. I would have no blem recommending it to a friend.

Chopard 106815-1001 wrist watches news:
Concord is a relative latecomer to the world of watches, but rather than going down the predictable fashion route it has rapidly become a serious player in the field of high complications with a series of impressively technical timepieces already under its belt.
The Laureato is one of Girard-Perregaux's most important designs, with a history going back to its birth in 1975 as a quartz-based chronometer wristwatch. The first mechanical versions of the Laureato were released in 1995, with the GP caliber 3100 and this year, GP is going back to that year for inspiration, with the 2016 edition of the Laureato automatic. The vintage Laureato self-winding models are well thought of by GP fans and collectors, but the appeal of the Laureato has always been a bit niche. Does the new 2016 model have what it takes to become the break-out, entry level icon Girard-Perregaux needs? Let's take a look. 1 OF 7 The first thing worth knowing about this new version of the Laureato is that it's definitely larger than the original self-winding model from 1995, which was 36 mm in diameter and just under 8 mm thick. That model, on the wrist, really feels like an extra-flat watch; it has a feeling of unobtrusive fineness that I found really ap
Hi OmegaLand,I bought an Ipod Touch the other day. Wonderful bit of kit. When I had got it home and had set it up guess where the first place on the interweb was that I headed to when I got onto wifi?I'll give you a clue......
I am considering the idea of beginning a modest watch collection. But the market is a little overwhelming to a new collector! There is a ton of wonderful information here on this site and I've read through a lot of it. But I don't see a lot of information pertaining to the different brands and their respective traits. My first watch will be of the budget variety for sure. I just don't want to buy something that I'll be embarrassed to wear later on in my collecting life. I want to avoid buying the Bose of watches!I have my eyes on a couple of Bulova models at Kohls department store. Am I wrong to hesitate buying a watch from a store like this? Bulova seems to be well regarded here on these forums. I just want to make sure that I'm not missing an obvious better buy in this price range. I really do like the looks of the Bulovas, but I want to make sure that it's quality is more than skin deep. Thanks for humoring yet another newbie!
Back from the watchmaker with a new crystal, a new crown and stem, and a new hairspring. The watch case is 14K white gold filled. The movement is Elgin's 23 jewel manual wind mechanism. It is adjusted to 6 positions. The watch cleaned up very well and the case back just shows a bit of wear, but looks surprisingly nice. It cleaned up very wellThe watched shipped with a 14K white gold capped Speidel expansion bracelet with black inserts. As Genejockey described some of his bands, this one looked like it was toxic. It took an hour of removing the inserts and taking a toothbrush to every nook, but it cleaned up nicely as well. I think I would have tossed it if it just didn't match the watch so well. The only thing that wasn't restored were the lume dots and the lume on the back of the hands (Elgin called watches like this their Nite Glo models). The movement was so dingy when I sent it in, now it looks like new!
