My Seamaster Cosmic 2000
Hey everyone,I was given a vintage Seamaster Cosmic 2000 a while ago, and have worn it a few times, but never really developed an appreciation for it or learned the facts about the watch. Here are some pictures: ImageShack Album - 9 imagesI'm not looking to sell it at this time, but I am curious as to the "market value" this might have. The reason I am wondering about that aspect is that I am considering purchasing THIS Baume & Mercier watch from a friend of mine. This is secondary to my questions above, but if you want to provide some insight on that watch or what a nice deal might be, I will have open ears!Thanks. Anyone have the time?

Hi everyoneJust wanted to share my experience with APSC New-York. 15300 was sent in for the B1 test and additional 1 year warranty. Lucky to find a letter explaining that they replaced the crystal as it didn't met their inspection. I noticed before sending it some micro chips on the side between 6 an 7 position but was only visible through a loupe. It was on the angle of the crystal and far from something to be worried about. Now After loupe inspection, it is 100% perfect Happy to report it was back in 5 weeks. More than I expected to say the least.Came back all wrapped with plastics on the case as if it was new. All in all, a perfect experience.Cheers.

Why does Omega keep changing their watch designs?
Except for the Speedy, I've noticed all Omega models go through dozens of never-ending iterations. When the Skyfall AT came out, I loved it as it was an amazing design. When I was ready to pull the trigger, they announced the master co-axial, removed the date window, and polished the center links.When I started to like that version, I now see they changed the date to be at 6 o clock and with a horizontal teak dial instead of vertical.This drives me crazy! Why can't they just stick to one design and make it a classic? Not to mention all of the one-off limited editions floating around in the market.I get that they want to keep things fresh, but I don't want to buy a watch from them if it's going to get outdated the next year.For the record, I don't have a Speedy because my wrist is terribly small for it, otherwise I'd be all over it.

I also looked up all available offerings of colors, straps, etc. in the new catalog for the 3 watches I looked at, as well as the SMP 300M & PO Ceramic.Oh, by the way, the 3rd number in the reference numbers refers to the size, 46=45.5mm42=42mm41=41.5mmExample: 232.90.46.21.03.001I forgot to get the reference numbers for the 42mm PO's, but according to the new numbering system you can just substitute 42 for 46.At least the new model numbering system is being decrypted:232=Planet Ocean212=Seamaster Pro 300M311=Speedmaster-----------------------Planet Ocean Liquid-Metal Titanium Case on Titanium BraceletRef No. 232.90.46.21.03.00145.5 mm supposed to be 1.5 mm thicker than regular POMSRP 8200Blue DialGrade 5 titanium (difference between grade 2 and grade 5...5 is supposed to look like stainless steel...
