Bedat & Co 727.011.100 wrist watches news:
The newest classic video game-inspired watch from Swiss Romain Jerome (RJ) is the Tetris-DNA, and it serves as yet another homage to a great 1980s-era video game. Tetris was actually a soviet game created in Moscow during the time of the USSR. Romain Jerome has already graced us with watches inspired by Space Invaders, PAC-MAN, and now, Tetris. In the future, more video game-inspired watches will come from Romain Jerome - we can promise you that.Romain Jerome now calls watches such as this which use their Moon Invader case style to be "Generational Icons." Romain Jerome had some interesting success with the "Titanic-DNA" watch that contained some metal actually collected from the Titanic. Even though the Titanic-DNA watch collection was controversial, it did spawn a lot of "DNA" watches. The goal of each is, of course, to contain some material from something special. That isn't possible with every type of watch that celebrates a unique and often important cultural icon, so Romain Jerom
So, after two Rolex watches for me, I found what I thought was a fairly good deal on a USED Rolex from a dealer in Malaysia. Everything was going well until FedEx asked me to make the package available to them because "customs hadn't cleared it properly". The package was at my office, unfortunately I'm out of town, and the admin allowed a FedEx driver to pick up the package (I know, aarrgh!!!).A couple of days later I received a call from a lawyer in New York who told me that they represented Rolex and that they (Rolex) only allowed ONE watch per customer traveling into the US for personal use. (So, what if I bought two watches while traveling overseas????). They said they would release the package to be returned to the seller. So my point is this: I understand that Rolex wants to protect its brand name and pricing strategy. How in the world do they get to control what enters US territory, particularly when it's a used watch???? I'm ****ed off that they would try to control my pu
Does anyone know of any complicated Royal Oak models due lout any time soon?I would really like a 41mm perpetual calendar skeleton or some other complication other than a chrono. Thanks
This post is from the very excited, practically in a transe, and incredibly proud owner of my No 1 and 2 most wanted Panerai wish list, I purchased today 2 watches, the 217 Marina Militare destro, the 2005 limited edition of 1000 pieces, which I think everyone here knows, but more interesting is the Pam 82 Marina Militare shadow case watch from year 2000, here is the definition of Panerai Shadow watches:It became Panerai practice not to create a prototype series that were numbered. Although the Panerai family did number their prototypes, the Panerai company changed this practice when Richemont took over the family company. In the first couple of years under new ownership, the company would create a new model (most were similar to pre vendome models) and make a handful of these watches. It is said that 4 to 12 pieces of a new model were made. These pieces were shown at new product development meetings. They were given to executives within the company, one of the few authorized dealers o
Does anyone know who runs the GMT Master app on itunes? I had it on my Ipad and Iphone and love the history it gives about the GMT model But with the last update last year, it says that the app itself needs to be updated for the new software update. I like referencing to it sometimes to remind me what models were produced in what year, but now I can not get on it. Anyone else tried to use it or know who runs the app??
