Technomarine 110026 wrist watches news:
Mido is one of Swatch Group's smaller brands that you rarely hear about. If you do, you know that like Tissot or (not available in the US) Certina, Mido offers some decent looking pieces at pretty reasonable prices (for a Swiss mechanical watch). As one of the underdog brands, sources say that the Swatch Group just isn't quite sure what to do with them. Sounds like Mido just needs the right type of person in charge. If you look at the pieces they've offered over the last few years, there are some real keepers. One of the most iconic collections from Mido has always been the dressy Commander. It sort of fits in the same vein as a Rolex - not in price necessarily, but more what it was trying to be for a man.For 2013 Mido returns the Commander with the "Commander II," as well as the similar sibling watch the "Great Wall." Now, according to Mido, the Commander's design - that is the new Commander for 2013 - was? influenced by the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. Something about how the sunra
Anyone besides me noticed that the green 24 hour hand on the GMT II-C SS (116710) is slightly wider and a bit more ¡°luminescent green¡± than the TT (116713)?Had the chance to compare them IRL and natural light the other day. Quite noticeable IMO.
So I bought am awesome Astronaut yesterday. It was running great and keeping great time. So of course I like to see the condition of my Accutrons movements. I opened it up and the gasket stuck, and stretched a bit. I got it put back in the best I could. Slapped it all back together, and now I have a NON WORKING watch! Its still humming, but no hands move. Im stunned. I found at least one thread that stated the gasket could be my issue. Im having a hard time believing this though. Anyone have any thoughts?ThanksJustin
Well I am watch shopping again and recently on a trip to Singapore to an AP AD was lucky to find they had the blue 15400 as well as the black and white models as well. I then asked them about possible gifts they can throw in as I assume they couldn't give discounts. Then the sales person proceeded to tell me they can give me a discount, not just on the black/white models but also on the blue model as well. This really took me by surprise, as I know the blue one is boutique only and they are notorious across the brands to not being able to offer a discount. Is this just a one-off - have other people been offered this as well? Or is it a sign that the luxury watch market is going soft? As our learned friend archieluxury is saying recently. Btw the discount offered was 10% on black/white and 5% on the blue
I have a buddy visiting Houston from Australia. He is thinking of picking up a SMP on his visit. Any recommendations on an AD willing to make a good deal? Any second-hand recommendations?
