Omega Geneve Questions
I purchased this watch from ebay and hav not yet received it. The seller was very reputable 20k 99% + feedback and has stated that I could return if I was not satisfied. He claims this watch is 100% authentic. Thsi is my 1st Omega and am not 100% sure if this watch is 100% authentic or has had the dial refinished or anything changed. It looks to be in near mint condition with no signs of corrosion.Does this watch look 100% authentic?Is it possible that a watch this old could survive this long and look this good?Does anyone know the model/year and/or movement caliber?I searched the Omega vintage database and could find only 2 that look similarST 336.0803MD 366.0832I have noticed that all the Omega Geneve watches I have seen photos of with a white dial had boxes around the date window. Should I be concerned the date window does not have a box around it? Also,the luminous material on the hands and hour markers look too new for a watch this old. Is it possible for this material to l

Speedmaster on 1574 (AT) bracelet
Hi all - Has anyone put their Speedy on a 1574/898 bracelet? I know its been done by a few folks out there as I have read a couple of threads on it and seen a few photos. The photos I saw looked great but this doesn't seem to be a common combo...A little background - I got my first nice watch about 2 years ago...A the classic Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch. While I love the watch the modern 1998 bracelet has always been a big disappointment for me. It always felt to big, too blingy and I could never get it to fit right. This dissatisfaction was made more evident when I bought my BLNR and got to enjoy how nicely Rolex's modern oyster bracelet looked and felt.. This sent me on a long journey to find the perfect Speedy strap. I discovered what many already know...which is the Speedmaster is probably the most versatile watch for changing straps and bracelets which truly is one of the thins I love about it. I have probably spent close to the value of a new Speedy itself on bracelets an
