A. Lange & Sohne 116.025 wrist watches news:
How did you get into Oris? With me. I got introduced to Oris watches when a friend gave me an Oris catalogue when I was 14. He gave me the 1995 the Oris High Mech catalogue. After that I went around Sydney jewellery stores collecting catalogues. Since then I always wanted to own a mechanical watch, so much that I convinced my mum to buy me an Oris for my 15th Birthday. Since then I¡¯ve always loved Oris watches. After high school my first job was selling watches in a nice jewellery store in Sydney. I¡¯ve now got a completely different career but still wear an Oris on my wrist.
I've been looking at a few different dress watches by Frederique Constant and have narrowed it down to these two models. Which one do think is dressier?
My visit to the Omega boutique got in trouble.image.jpg
with my trusty Omega Constellation. 1966, 564 movement, C shape. It's been gaining a bit of late, so I thought I'd have a go at regulating it. After several tiddles and one or two twaddles, I think I've got it right. For the last four days, I've been timing it aginst the clock on the GMT website. It is still spot on to the second! Not bad for a 44 years old mechanical watch!
Nothing I really like. I¡¯d gone for a steel 36mm with new movement but they are only launching it in two-tone watches. The GMT is a bit too showy, but I may warm up to it. Rather uneventful year.
