The Nivrel "Sea" watches have always impressed me. They are basic diver watches, with a colorful twist. The chronograph version is the Wild Sea. It comes in standard steel, and PVD steel. This watch is perfect for when you want a classic look, with a bit of an edge.The Wild Sea goes with the red color trim approach. The hands looks like daggers tipped in blood. At least in my morbid sense of observation. AP RO Most versatile dail - advice needed
Hello,My friend is planning to buy her husband AP 41 mm Royal Oak for his 40th birthday. One Lucky chap!He already has a Tag Carrera Chrono, Bell and Ross as everyday watches and Cartier Santos as dress.As Apple fan he also has their watch but this does not count .Despite my attempts to convince her that SubC SS or WG would be great choice she insist on AP. She also wants to make him a suprise and wants to decide in dail colour without asking.The problem is that she is absolutely lost.I went with her to AP shop and looked at dails avaliable. Shop only had white, black which were beautiful and two tone which she dismissed. She also liked blue which saw in catalogue but there was no stock, although can be ordered and delivered within few days.The watch most likely will be worn on special occasions, dinners, functions, most likely with suit or smart casual attire. I love my first Patek, a new 5140-R-011 with the latest 2014 opaline silver dial, purchased 12 days ago from an AD. It's been my dream to own a PP perpetual calendar for many years, and, after the price drop, plus a generous discount, I bit. Now that it's been on my wrist for 12 days, I decided to reset the time, which seemed slow by between 5 and 10 seconds. I certainly have no complaint about the accuracy, but setting a watch without running seconds and without a hack is proving a monumental pain. First, I've noted that my dial seems not perfectly calibrated. The minute marker dots appear not to be uniform in their placement, and some are 5 or more seconds off, when compared to others? Given that problem, I decided it was necessary to time the watch just as the minute hand centered over the very same minute dot each hour. But, even using a loupe, it's difficult to see exactly when it's centered over the tiny dot. I then decided that the most accurate way to set the time was t
