At Baselworld 2010, Glash¨¹tte Original will present their rose gold Pocket Watch No. 1 with quarter hour repetition in a limited edition of 25 pieces. A historical watch by Julius Assmann, a famous pioneer of the Glash¨¹tte watchmaking industry, served as the model. The repeater first strikes the previous hours, and then in a higher tone, the number of quarter hours that have elapsed since the last full hour. The repeater is operated by means of a slide located at 6 o’clock. Moving the slide toward 9 o’clock winds the mainspring. At full wind, the striking mechanism is activated automatically. The progress of the striking mechanism is regulated by a centrifugal governor visible on the wheel train side. I've wanted a Jorg Schauer Edition watch for awhile and a preloved Edition 6 came available. Jorge Schauer is the owner and designer of Stowa (a WTF sponsor ) but he also has a separate line of watches that he creates under his own name. He makes less than 500 pieces a year and all of them have the signature 12-rivet bezels. My J.S. Kulisse Edition 6 has a Valjoux 7750 movement - my first watch with this movement.I'm really ecstatic about this watch and here's some quick pics I just took...To learn more about the Schauer line, follow the Stowa link below, and then click on Jorg Schauer's pic on the lower left of their website:stowa.de/shop/cgi-bin/lshop.c....prodiveruhren

I dropped my seamaster planet ocean off for service on 6/11. I was told it would take about 6 weeks for service. I called yesterday to check on it and am now being told it won't be done until August 20th. I find this unacceptable. Has anyone else experienced this excessive service time? I know when I had my older seamaster serviced it took about 8 weeks but not close to eleven. Why can't they get it right? Every Rolex I've had serviced has been completed early or on time. Omega needs to get their act together. Just venting.
A few years ago , I fell in love with the azzurro - reminded me of the Mediterranean blue sea and sky.I eventually went the safer route and got the silver stick dial on jubilee Datejust 36 -which I don¡¯t regret.I then set my sights higher and acquired the 116618lb , no regrets either ! That dazzling blue never left the back of my mind though, so when the opportunity popped up the other day on a pre owned at a rediculously good price B&P from 2016 I couldn¡¯t resist :DSure it has no lume and some don¡¯t like the dimensions on the DJII But gawd dang I¡¯m in love with that blue ! And the way the no-lume hands and Romans play in the sunlight is
