Audemars Piguet 6689AC wrist watches news:
I am looking for a gift for a friends 50th. Interested in finding a 1959 Omega...preferably a Seamaster...but also looking for a royal navy or airforce version of an omega...since he is english.Condition should be at least good and at a fair price. If anyone has links or leads I will be greatly appreciated. Is there anything unique in 59 that might be of interest as well please chime in.
On Friday I had fun visiting a few ADs. Have a look at my trip report for more info.During that trip I got to see and try on a Longines Retrograde. As I had expected it was fabulous. I had never seen a retrograde in the flesh before, and it was just stunning. I loved watching the seconds move across and then flick back in the blink of an eye. And the watch just looked beautiful! They also had the model with the power reserve meter, but I prefer the one with the seconds. It is so cool watching the hand creep across and flick back. It was a beautiful watch and I just fell in love with it. Of course it is not an inexpensive watch. It is over AUS$6,000! So this will be some time coming. But it will be well worth the wait!

Just picked up today this Invicta pro diver 43. That¡¯s three additions this week. I¡¯m quitting before it gets out of hand.Last photo is the new 43 next to my 8926P7240031.jpgP7240028.jpgP7240027.jpgP7240030.jpgP7240033.jpg
I am considering trading in (selling) in my 1978 Speedy Pro to get a newer Goldie Speedy. The Goldie I'm looking at is offered just as the head, without a bracelet, unfortunately. So I have some questions for you Speedy guys:1. What is your opinion of the Gold vs. SS Speedy (pros and cons and general thoughts)?2. Do any of you know where I would be able to source a gold bracelet for the Speedy should I decide to make the switch, and how much it would cost?3. Anyone have a gold speedy with or without bracelet who would want to post pics?I appreciate your input.-Vital
