Audemars Piguet 25770SN.OO.0009KE.01 wrist watches news:
We're back at it, folks. ?We have partnered back-up with Piaget to send one HODINKEE reader to Switzerland on an all expenses-paid look into one of the oldest and most impressive high-end manufacture in the world. ?There, the winner will be able to meet the watchmakers behind the lauded and critically acclaimed Altiplano Skeleton in white gold, as well as president and CEO?Mr. Philippe L¨¦opold-Metzger. 2 OF 3 It is one thing to read about manufacture visits here on HODINKEE, but it is another thing entirely to experience one for yourself. ?We're lucky enough to do it occassionaly, and we are thrilled to be able to offer you a chance to do it by answering only ten questions. You may remember we ran a similar contest last year, after which winner Bao Nguyen recounted his amazing experience on HODINKEE.?This year's contest is very much the same and the concept is simple. There are ten questions to answer here, we will give you clues over the course of the month, and if you an
First off hi everyone i am new to this forum ,I have saved up some money and looking into buying myself a nicer watch , I currently have my eye on the WilliamsF1 Team Chronograph 2008, really like the design and it fits my budget . My question would be do they make come up with a new model every year ? should I wait for the 09 to come out and see whats it like ? would the 08 drop significant in price when the 09 is available ? For Oris , which line is there most popular ? I mean like a signature line ?Sorry was asking so many questions, I am new to this so I am trying to get as many opinion before I go out there and spend my hard earning cash
Hi.I have a really stupid question about this movement, which is used for example in the Seiko Spirit SBQJ017 GMT watch. It says that you do not have to adjust the date until 2100 because of the perpetual calendar.Yet this movement does not have a month display. How does the watch "know" what month it is? How does it know when the date is "30" whether it is a 30 day month so the next date should be "1" or a 31 day month so the next date should be "31." Absent a month display, is there some other mechnism for entering this information into the watch? And even if you figure that out, since it has no "year" display, how does the watch know on Feb 28 if it is a leap year or not? Thanks in advance!
Finally got my Bulova Precisionist today- I thought this day would never arrive! A domed crystal made the pix tricky, but I love the moire pattern (it's a textured dial- not painted. It's also a little bigger and heavier than I expected- which is why I pulled the trigger as soon as I saw it. Hallelujah!!!Sorry about the dial showing yesterday's date- I didn't notice it until this posting. I think around Christmas or New Years I'll check and see how accurate it REALLY is.
A while back I posted about my next purchase.....Well 2 weeks after my post the chance arrived.A 2908.50.82 Planet Ocean has been obtained. I originally set out for the steel bracelet, but my lovelywife convinced me that a black rubber w/ orange stitchband was it. SHE WAS RIGHT !!!! I fell in live with it.AND she bought it for me !!!! DOUBLE SCORE !!!!I would love to share the pics, but don't know how! Please help, I think the jpeg's are too big
