Inspired by the recent thread about what watches you would trade out of, I have begun seriously considering getting rid of my Omega NZL-32 as I rarely if ever wear it anymore. In my search so far, I have begun to heavily favor the JLC Reverso Grand Taille in SS: Watches - Reverso Grande TailleHowever, before I take the plunge hopefully sometime in the next few months, I thought I would ask for other suggestions. Criteria are as follows: 1. On a strap, preferably brown 2. Sale price below $4500 (this does not mean the MSRP must be below $4500)3. White/Silver Face 4. Appropriate for dress attire and everyday use5. Not overly complicated (hour, minutes, seconds, optional date)6. At the same level of watch making as JLC (there are many fine watches but I am looking for a higher-end choice)The Reverso really attracts me because it has unique qualities but is classic and clean.Thanks in advance for any help.

Planet Ocean Date changing problem?
Just had my 4 year-old Planet Ocean (caliber 2500) back from repair (it had stopped, and Omega UK repaired it) and now the date seems not to move forward at midnight. I have now reset the date 4 times over the last 10 days (resetting it at midmorning) to the new correct date, but come the next morning (so 24 hours later) it is still on the same date. Sometimes it changes at midday, other times not at all??Any clues as to what is happening please?Many thanksDavid (UK)

Seamaster Workhorse.........
My Father bought a Seamaster in the early 60's and wore it for everything. He was an engineer, mechanic, garage tinkerer, and horsman.. After a couple decades of hard use, he gave it to me, and I put another couple of decades of hard use on it as my beater watch. It was the garage, yardwork, fool-around watch until I lost the stem several years back.This is how it looked about 6 months ago: I sent it off with instructions to just give the case, dial, and hands a good cleaning; and overhaul the movement as necessary.This is how it looks today:A new stem, crown, and cleaned up dial and hands:The fresh Omega crystal is a joy to look through:The case has been cleaned up, but no polishing or removal of the already well worn 14k Gold:A new Omega Calf Leather strap and gold buckle:The 560 movement was completely disassembled, worn parts replaced and fresh oil:(file photo)The date change started at about 10:30, and changed completely by 12:15:I think it's earned a rest, at least from heavy

Tax when buying a Rolex watch in the US and bring it to Korea?
Hi, I am a U.S. citizen living in California. I am planning to buy a Rolex watch here and give it to a friend in Korea as a gift. I was wondering whether there would be any tax issue in this case. 1> Will I need to pay any tax for the watch in Korea customs? 2> Will I need to pay any tax if I buy the watch at a duty free Rolex shop in the U.S. and bring it to Korea? In this case, is it okay to bring the box and the warranty card with the watch? 3> Will there be any difference between buying the watch at a retail shop and buying it at duty free shop in the U.S. when bringing it to Korea?
