Their stores in Atlanta and its Decatur suburb have a hometown jeweler feel and a staff that seem more like family than employees. Selling watche
I went to the Patek show at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills yesterday. I was in the area and made a note to stop by.Here are some picts from the event. Listening to the watchmaker explain the functions and quality of Patek was the highpoint. I was standing next to a person who brought in a pre-owned Omega Seamaster and was asking relatively general questions about mechanical watches (cleaning, lubrication, changing date between 10-2, etc). The watchmaker was great with this gentleman. When asked about whether it was a myth that one should not change the date between 10PM and 2AM, the watchmaker took a Patek movement, removed the backplate, and showed the gentleman the date changing cam and what happens during a date rotation. All the watchmakers work you can see either via a magnified monitor above, or by watching, although one might not see the detail work. The exhibit is in two rooms. Each wall had one-two video presentations running. Each person was presented with a Patek catalog
Not much attention on this forum for vintage AP, but had to share this one. What a watch! Never seen one in this condition. This beats any modern RO. .collection-heure.be/en/wa...srie-a-premire
I know this is a loaded question, but what do you think about the future of the new Spectre model in terms of availability and value? I thinking I want to get one, but am not keen on paying retail (which is basically the only option now) but I'm also concerned if I wait until it's come down or forum dealers have it, they might have already been all snapped up by collectors.I know it's hard to predict, but I can't really get a read on previous 007 models, plus IMO this is the best one they've ever done in terms of being much more subtle/etc.Will normal ADs get these or will they be boutique only?
Hello, my name is Steve, and I have GMT issues. Okay, I love GMTs. So I recently added a BLNR to my stable of GMTs. Im thinking of brushing the bracelet on my 4 year old LN to have the ability to swap PCLs and brushed between the two. What are your thoughts?
