Citizen AU1060-51E wrist watches news:
hey guys,i just got my new seamaster coaxial chronometer about a 2 months ago. recently, like within the past 2 weeks, I've noticed that the bracelet keeps popping open when I flex my wrist. I dont think I'm wearing it too loose where I'm accidentally pushing the side release buttons. When I apply slight to medium pressure and force it open without pushing the release buttons, it pops out. I'm thinking this watch should not open so easily with very little resistance. Additionally, I don't think I've hit anything to damage the bracelet. From a novice's visual inspection, I do not notice any damage to the metal locking mechanism like if the protruding mushroom cap shaped part is bent in any sort of way.I bought the watch in another city so I want to make sure this is a legitimate problem before I make the hassle of driving back.I'm new to this forum, so please excuse my ignorance if the topic has already been address. I did find anything searching for this particular problem. Thanks
Hi Everybody!!!I hope you are all having a great holiday season.I just put up part 1 of a 9 part podcast interview with T. Walker Lloyd who was an executive with Rolex for almost a quarter century.T. Walker began his career with Rolex as an oceanographic consultant and helped to develop the Rolex SEA-DWELLER with SEALAB and went on to become a senior executive. This is an amazing story and the first and only time I know of when a former Rolex executive went on the record in a detailed recorded interview. In part 1, T. Walker Lloyd covers everything from Kojak to Thunderball to Jaws.I am certain you will enjoy this amazing podcast and article which you can find here:RolexWatchBlogHappy Holidays!!!Jake
Off and on over the years, I've seen on-line watch-making courses offered and be intrigued. Guess I'm now back to my "interested" phase.Has anyone actually taken one of these courses? I'd like to actually build, and/or disassemble, assemble a simple watch mechanism for the feel of it. Any recommendations on alternatives, one that are particularly good, ones to avoid?Other feedback? Thanks!
Stopped by the very friendly and knowledgeable European Watch Co on Newbury St in Boston. I stopped in as they had a 5164 and 5167 in stock (pre-owned, they are not an AD) and I wanted to compare them side by side. I also wanted to compare the 5726 dial to the Aquanaut dial. The hold up with the Aquanaut is the bezel looks a little dinged up (you can see the marks in the close up pic, they are right by the 1oclock mark on outer bezel and also in between the 12-1 mark middle bezel. I came to realize three things:1. I am glad my 5167 purchase fell through as the 5164 is perfection.2. I am glad I went with 5712 over 5726 as the 5726 dial in person is identical color to the 5164 so the blue dial 5712 is a perfect mate for the 5164.3. The Nautilus looks much better on a leather strap than I had originally thought.I also tried on a watch that is on my grail list, A Lange Platinum Datograph Man that Platinum is heavy and the movement is mesmerizing. I work with Josh at European Watch Co but e
