- Very nice watch - perfect for our 19-year old son, who wanted something that he could dress up or down. Slightly larger face than the average dress watch.

We all like to show off our Hammies on Friday. Today in honor of Memorial Day, let's show off our military inspired Khakis. Don't have a Khaki? Show us what you do have.
Was in an AD today looking for the new PO when a guy came in asking about an Omega he had seen that glowed bright blue with lights in, the AD explained that Omega didn't make a watch like that. The guy was adament they did and had seen it the night before, the AD asked where and he said it was in a film and a man ended up in a ball in the snow and turned the lights on in the watch. Being a bit of a Bond and Omega fan I realised he was talking about the scene in The World is Not Enough. I told the AD what the man was on about and explained to the man it was from a Bond film and not real, he said it was real as he had seen it in the film and wanted one. The AD explained again that it was not real and only a prop from a film and never made for sale, but this is the best bit he turned round and told the AD if he couldn't get it he would got to another Omega dealer. Some people never listen and never belive I suppose thats what makes the world go round.
My AD used my floating deposit to pull in a 5712-1A which was on my short list for pieces to maybe acquire this year. I gotta tell ya, it's amazing on the wrist I think I am going to end up with one in the near future...
I have been struggling with my next watch decision severely over the last few months and have decided to enlist the overwhelming expertise of this forum. In order to commemorate a milestone in my life I have given myself a budget of $35k or so to get myself a watch (or watches). I currently own a 16710 Pepsi, an IWC Portuguese, and a Speedy - this new addition would clearly be a large step up for my collection. I think I have narrowed it down to two options:1. F.P. Journe Chronometre Bleu and a Seadweller 50th anniversary 126600 This is the combination I thought I would be getting as I had been set on the CB for a while; I think the tantalum combined with the almost magical blue dial is really something special. Add on FPJ's storied watchmaking history and the rarity of his pieces and I thought I had a winner. The Seadweller I have never tried on in the flesh (hard to find!) but have always wanted a little more beefy version of my GMT - especially one in ceramic. The red lettering &
I bought a Bluesy 116613LB couple weeks ago and it's just been a headache ever since. It was a private seller, a wife who was selling off ex-husbands pieces, and this was one of them. Had it authenticated by Vestaire Collective before I bought it and they said everything's original. I'm like ok cool, didnt think much of it.Everything was fine, until I put it next up to my sub.uhhh, why does the magnification look like it's from a $30 China town fake? Posted on another forum and they said to take it into an AD because VC isn't qualified to authenticate. I'm like ok, but closest AD to me is 2 hours and they charge $100 for appraisal. Which isn't the end of the world but I'd rather not do that if I don't need to.Then someone told me about how Rolex had QC issues in 2014-2015ish and that matches up because the seller said her ex-husband bought the watch in 2014. (it's been in their safe ever since).I don't even want the piece anymore because it'll just remind me of this headache every
