Audemars Piguet 15325BC.OO.D102CR.01 wrist watches news:
Magrette of New Zealand has just released two watches for pre-order that are the brand's first chronograph watches. The watches contain the same movement and share similar cases, but have their differences. The first watch is the Magrette Moana Pacific Chronograph PVD and the second is the Magrette Regattare Chronograph. With their first chronograph watch Magrette did not want to alienate its loyal followers by pricing the watch too high. At the same time the movement needed to be interesting and useful. Magrette turned to the actually quite impressive Seagull TY-2901 manually wound 30 minute chronograph movement. This is a Chinese made replica of an older movement called the Venus 175. Another watch that used this movement was the Techne Sparrow Hawk that I reviewed here. The Sparrow Hawk sold very well and I attribute that to people liking the nice mixture of interest and value in the movement.Through the exposed caseback you can see the movement - which has the fine look of a vintage
Can anyone identify this time piece? from what i could see it looks like a swiss made watch probably from Chronographe Suisse with a Landeron mechanism , but i can't pin point the model IMG_1845.jpgIMG_1844.jpgIMG_1842.jpgIMG_1839.jpgIMG_1838.jpg The mechanism is in working order, but in need of TLC as all of it.Thank you for any help provided.P.S the watch came with the story that it was made for the British army - aviators - as a special order, that is why there are no markings on it.
Just thought I'd share what I got as answer from AP Le Brassus when I asked if the inner rotating bezel could be operated under water. I can't make sense of the final answer I got. Excerpts below :AP : Regarding to your inquiry, we kindly inform you that it is not advisable to operate the inner bezel underwater as it might pose a risk for water penetration. The same goes for time setting function. We sincerely invite you to read the life and care information with the website below:https://.audemarspiguet/en/service/looking-after-your-timepiece/Response from me :What you said is inconsistent with what is stated on your website at the link you provided. I quote :SWIMMING WITH WATER RESISTANT WATCHESBefore swimming, check that the crown and push-pieces are fully screwed down. Aside from crowns on our Diver models, crown and push-pieces should not be activated while submerged in water. After swimming in salt water, rinse the watch with fresh waterThe second sentence says in other words
