While there is still some question as to how successful the smartwatch segment will be, that hasn't stopped brands (mostly newer) from pushing innovation to get new models out on the market. Additionally, since they've already invested their main business in Microsoft-based development tools, that means they'll have an app development suite that will be familiar to a broad range of programmers. I have just been won over to the dark side. I see that I am a Seiko lover, and now I am curious about all the Asian watches. My 009 diver is just beautiful and gives me the feeling of getting a super deal at a great restaurant that hasn't been written up in the paper. A great value and secret.I have a question for you Seiko experts:I have a couple Seiko quartz watches which I also love. One of them is still running strong from the 70s - it reads '7546 8519' on the bottom of the dial. Maybe someone can tell me about that one. It is deadly accurate. It is very similar to a brand new quartz 'gold tone' Seiko I bought for Christmas that is identical with the day/date, but also has raised indices. Are these the same exact movements?Is one considered better than the other??????Thanks, y'all.

Hello everyone! I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I have been lurking for months so I feel like I already know many of you. After gathering so much valuable information and lusting over the pictures here, I finally today acquired my first AP! I have to give special thanks to the Seller and my new friend, Thanh (Takuya on TRF), who was so helpful through the entire process. And thanks for everyone for their participation in the 15400 threads, where I did all my due diligence for this acquisition. I look forward to getting to know you all better.

5711 vs 5712 regrets?
Hi all,The Nautilus is my dream watch, but I find the decision between 5711 and 5712 almost impossible. I love basic 3 handers and all indices visible (Think Rolex 14060 or 1016) so that says 5711. I also love micro rotors, power reserves and small red contrasts on a dial, so that all says 5712.Anyway, my question is: Did you ever own one - and up/downgrade it to the other? (5780 and 5726 does not count)I am fascinated with how torn I am between the 2, so wondering If anyone else feels the sameThx, M
