- Love this watch... I have it in gray and it's absolutely adorable. But like the other reviewers have said, the strap is short! I have thin wrists (but am quite tall) and I literally have to wear the watch on the last hole.

Of my last received watch, and my first Breitling...Have it for a couple of weeks now, and I'm impreseed by the quality and accuracy, thermocompensated quartz rules I really love this watch, and is an eye catcher, from the outer box, to the double inner box in leather...My TC Colt Quartz II
Starting with my night beacon. That is, Citizen Eco-Drive Diver. It will soon have competition as Mrs Clause has indicated a Seiko SRP 309 Orange Monster will be under the tree on Christmas morning. For grins, I put bids on a couple of Benrus watches on Ebay. The photos looked decent, the ads stated they were running, and they were each bidding under $20.00. One is listed as being from the 40's, and the other is deco, so I'd guess it's also from the 40's.I figured if I happen to win and they turn out to be a total loss, all I have to do is bring my lunch instead of eating out for a couple of days to recoup the loss On the other hand, if they turn out to be decent, I wouldn't mind putting a little money into them to have them serviced. Cosmetically, they don't need any restoration - not perfect, but nice enough to wear as is.Thanks for any info.
Just wanted to share my experience with the Culver City Omega Service Center.I have a PO (2500C) that I bought in 2009. The crown stem tube became stripped and it wasn't possible to screw down the crown anymore. In addition, it just needed a CLA since it was gaining about 8 seconds a day.I went to an Omega AD (not the one I purchased from, but another that I've got a great rapport with). We shipped it to Omega in Culver City and I recently got it back.Sadly, the watch no longer winds through the rotor. After a full manual wind, and wearing it everyday, the watch would stop shortly after two days. Went through that cycle 3 times and even kept a log of when it was on and off my wrist. Also, the crown could be screwed down, but it didn't have any 'spring' feel to screw it back down; it was just flush and you screwed it in.The AD I went through took all the right steps and it's back to Omega to be fixed, but still…?what a disappointing first experience with Omega service. I really wa
Dear All,I have come across a thread and video from a 5170 owner in another forum, who noticed a very small pause of the chronograph hand while passing the 0/60 second markI found the same behaviour in my 5270 (which share the same CH29 based caliber). It does not happen in each and every time, but in around half of the occasions. The pause is very subtle, but if you deliberately look for it at the 0/60 second mark, it can be seen. Hence I did not notice it after wearing my 5270 for few months, until I read that post.Recently I met a staff of the PP service center at a horology event and he told me that it is normal for the CH29 caliber to have this very slight pause of the chronograph second hand while passing the 0/60 second mark in some of the time, which may be related to the power diversion to the instantaneous minute counter. It will be great if other fellow 5270/ 5170 owners can share their experience.I have attached a video of my 5270 showing the subtle pause of chronograph seco
