A Watch I Owned 50 Years Ago Appears!
Well not exactly THE watch but the first watch that I ever owned was a Zorro watch. I'd tell my wife about it all the time..I'd put it on, safe T pin a bath towel over my shoulder, put on a cowboy hat and grab a stick.My lovely wife gave this to me today....I remeber that detail on the buckle! I am tickled pink !

Usually worn by Lancaster Bomber navigators and the like 30T2 movement. So whereas it never left the Omega factory like this, it certainly must have some stories to tell:

It is a while since I browsed the forum.I return and find the whirlwind once again around steel sports models.When I bought my first Rolex a 5513 (wish I still had it now) around twenty years ago,a Steel sub date had an 18 month waiting list and a steel Daytona 7 years!!Things did change over the years,You did see steel ceramic sub dates in dealer windows now and again and the steel Daytona list got down to a month at a dealer I use.We are now fortunately well out of a double dip recession and Rolex is again doing what I believe it does best,engineering it's own hype.It is my belief that Rolex is limiting supply on the steel sports models to create the position it was in twenty years ago.The general publics perception that what they are buying is illusive and they have to be on a waiting list only increases the value of the piece in their eyes.Low and behold the release of the new Daytona(fortunately for me,a watch I don't lust after).It would surprise me if the ceramic model hasn't be
