Hello, I have a rarely worn GMT II Master SS Ceramic I purchased in 2011. Has all the original box and papers.. Would like to trade for ANIB Submariner Ceramic SS. If interested, lets connect. usaheadhunter@tx.rr for number to call. Sincerely,
My partner in crime, the Notorious Rooster, and I are pleased to announce that Agent Orange has come in from The Cold and is joining us as a mod at the General Forum after a stint helping to bring order to the nut house known as the Invicta Forum. We're delighted to have him with us and we shall henceforth be known as The Three Amigos. Well, as soon as Orange changes his clothes and sheds that distinct whiff of Cheese. So welcome Mr. Orange (sounds like a character from Clue - in the kitchen with the pipewrench) to his new job, which will also include keeping an eye on the Sales Forum. In all seriousness, this is a good thing for the GF. I'm truly pleased. I look forward to lots of fun
If any of you remember, I sent a JLC reference #2285 in for refurbishing. I just got the estimate back and it's almost exactly where I thought: $1225 including shipping. Considering this poor thing was literally minutes away from the being melted down and the movement being cannibalized, it's a fair price. Also, if you take into account the price of a new 18K M.U.T. it's a real bargain! I also asked about a few options: an 18K logo buckle is $620 and a matte black croc strap with the JLC logo is $310. So I'll throw some things out there and see what you think.1) Since they're redoing the dial, should I keep the crosshairs or not? Some of the watches had them, some didn't from this time. Normally I really like crosshair dials, but it dates the watch to that period during the 50's and 60's. The plain dial would be timeless, and it would be tough to tell it from a new version. Hey, even though it's done at the factory it's still a redial so I'm kind of leaning to the non-crosshai
As noted from another post, I ordered a vintage piece from my birth year. It arrived while I was away and I grabbed it today from the Post Office. The pics:Ahh, the smell of bubble wrap in the morning...As mentioned in the original post, the original box and all!Literally snapped when I opened the box - I hadn't moved a thing, just like it was sitting at the store!I'll shoot some better pictures later with better light, just wanted to show off a beautiful watch.Looks and feels great on the wrist!I tried to find an email address at Zenith to ask them for any info on the watch - any ideas out there? I am curious of the model name, etc. Thanks,B
This is the first Rolex I have wanted to own in a long time and I really applaud Rolex for bringing back a new interpretation of a highly desirable collector's piece. It is just stunning in my eyes. I am curious if anyone has an idea of pricing and US delivery to dealers. I am first on the list at my dealer now. Can't wait....
