Question 2?Where I start with vintage collecting?Answer 2:WITH FOCUS. Think!! What area of vintage collecting 'you' want to be in.The above words are by Gladiator and I think they were the first words I quoted on a post in the beginners forum when I first joined. So I am now collecting about a year and during that year I believe I have had maybe 50 or 60 different watches come through the mailbox and most were flipped as soon as I got them. I got a little inkling of what I liked when I purchased 3 American watches at auction locally in Ireland, but I still have no real direction. A year in and I find myself looking at new watches from Orient and Seiko. I know I can blame this on the guys in the Japanese/Asian forum, there are some really great threads and the entusiasim from the guys is amazing. During the past week I fliped another 5 of my so called favourites just so I can pick up a couple of Asian watches. I collect at the lower end of the market so 5 does not generate a huge amount

Looking into buying a Longine from ebay and need help.
So, I posted in another thread how I found my grandfather's Longine and have been thinking about purchasing another old model and having it restored. I found a nice looking watch on ebay but I know next to nothing about these watches and was wondering if anyone could give me some information about this watch listed. I've read that the flagship watches are their higher end watches but that's about it. How much is this watch really worth? What is the most I should bid on it? Hi all,I just purchased a Movado Series 800 watch, and upon arrival, learned that the bracelet is extremely tight on my wrist. I called a dealer and learned that they charge about $50 per link (I need at least two), which I thing is rediculous for a watch I paid about $350 for. I normally wear an eco-drive, and Citizen was quick to send two free links at the drop of a hat.Can someone tell me where I could find a good deal on extra links for this watch?Thank you very much!!

PP Rose Gold and wearability?
Hello everyone. I'm searching for my next watch and have never owned a PP RG watch and have only owned one PM watch in general that I only wore a hand full of times because it didn't fit well on my wrist. So the question is how much do you all concentrate on wrist presence and try to always avoid rubbing/scratching the watch/clasp when wearing the rose gold models?I currently wear my 5167 99% of the time including sleeping, showering, swimming, working for the most part(not behind a desk), and cooking so I have worn it like a Rolex Sub pretty much. It has served me very well and I have tried to be conscience of its presence when could otherwise rub my wrist up against something. I'd say it's held up rather well considering how delicate the finish is on the case and clasp. There are only very small hairline scratches on the top brushed bezel and the same for the clasp but just more of them. The watches that are currently on my radar are the 5711r with bracelet, 5164r, and the 5712r. The
