Audemars Piguet 26401.RO.OO.A002.CA.01 wrist watches news:
I have a d.freemont Acugraph chronograph with an ETA 7750 movement. It's almost 2 years old, and until recently I was loving it. On Thanksgiving, it stopped running. I'm fairly sure that it stopped when I pushed the reset button after timing a trip. The only possible premonitory signs I had noticed were that perhaps the pushers had been feeling a little less crisp, and that a few times I had started the timer function only to find out that it had not really started. The watch has been well- treated.I sent it back for repair, & was told that all it had needed was cleaning & adjustment. However, within 24 hours it had stopped again, this time definitely after stopping & resetting the timer. Also at this time, it was not possible to wind it at all (David McCready, from d.freemont had suggested trying to wind it in case it simply hadn't been wound enough before wearing it).I sent it back again, and just got it back on Saturday. Now it runs, but every time I reset the timer,
To make a short story long....many moons ago I decided on a Sub over a Speedy. After that I went for an AT Chrono, bypassing the Speedy once again. To make things even worse I added a Panerai and a JLC after that. Now I feel almost guilty that the speedy has been overlooked for so long. So time to act!Anyway, I have found this 3570.50.00 Speedmaster. It's a 2006, comes with papers, has had a light polish, and comes with a 12 month movement warranty. Asking price is AU $2,999.Can i have some opinions on this watch/price pls. Also should I be going for the Hesalite or a sapphire?
I plan on purchasing a 5164 - if I like the fit. 😃My question is:What to flip?BLNR and 5227gJust BLNRJust 5227g Red Sub and BLNRI have plenty of other options but these just seem to be the likely choices. Similar watches that are keepers- 5711, BLRO, Smurf , 5146P etc. So I have most functions and styles covered. Any help and comments would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Looking to pick up a leather strap for my BB and submariner, where do you guys recommend/usually pick yours up from?I was thinking about going to Camilla but $170 per strap seems a bit excessive. I'm hoping for something under $100 that is quality and comes in different strap lengths (I have a baby wrist). I'm referring to just good ol calf skin straps, nothing exotic such as ostrich or alligator.
So this is a bit of a funny story because I actually traded my previous watch (14060) for my GMT IIc. But after a few months I realize that I really miss my submariner. Not for added utility or anything but it just felt lighter and more comfortable on the wrist. I find that the new GMT is very heavy and has a much larger wrist presence than my 14060 had. I¡¯d buy another 14060 but I have a hard time deciding what to wear with only three watches (GMT, DJ, Zenith), never mind adding a fourth. Do I try to find another 14060 or keep my GMT?
