- The compliments have not stopped! Love my Mystical Serpent watch. I normally don't even wear one. I would love to see Heidi Daus vide some silver-toned jewelry instead of just the bronze-tone. It would definitely make me buy MORE!

It was resurrected again in the early 1960's to market a line of watches with wood veneer dials. The actual silver dials were reduced in thickness so that the .013" thick (equal to the thickness of about four sheets of notepad paper) veneer could be applied. Four or five wood types met the criteria and production proceeded. Unfortunately, they were a sales failure and most were returned to the

Hi guys, Found a Rolex 18038 over the internet on a local site a few days ago and it seems a little weird to me. It has a double gold stamp. I asked the guy about the serials , he gave me some pictures and a serial number dating the watch to 1985. What do you make of this ? Haven't seen 18038 with this kind of gold stamp markings before. The movement though seems legit - 3055, but could the case be after market or something? Thank you for posting your opinions on this!P.S.: Sorry for the quality of the images...but this is what I got from him after I asked him to go to a watch service shop and take off the back.image5.jpegIMG_1839.jpgIMG_1840.jpgIMG_1837.jpgIMG_1838.jpg
I have always thought the Pelagos is a beautiful piece of engineering and am seriously considering adding one to my collection, which begs the question blue or black? What say you and why? For reference, I wear a two tone Sub or Explorer II black dial daily.
