About to purchase a Breitling
Ever since I saw "Blood Diamond" with Leonardo DiCaprio, I fell in love with the watch his character wears throughout the movie. After some digging around, I found out that it's a Breitling Aeromarine Chrono Avenger M1 with leather band. This was a few years back, and since then I've saved up enough money to commit. To get up to date on the new Breitlings, I did more research, and found out that there's now the Breitling Aeromarine Skyland Chrono Avenger. Being new to the world of Breitling, I can't really tell the two apart, except a couple of obvious differences (Skyland's numbers have a more military look, and it has stainless steel case instead of M1's titanium case). I would love to hear your thoughts on whether a titanium case is better, or if that's just an older watch/method of production. Also, are there other differences between the M1 and the Skyland that would make me want to choose one over the other? Thanks in advance for helping out a newbie!

Automatic watch stops working within hours?
I just purchased a Bentley big date. For the first few days, everything was great. If I haven't worn the watch for a day it would obviously stop. However, a few days later, after wearing my Bentley all day, I would take it off at the end of my 12 hr work day. All of a sudden, my Bentley would stop working after just an hour or two. I would then wind it 30 or more times. Why does my watch stop working just an hour or so after taking off?

Something for the Boss
I am sure that many of the people you work with are aware of your addict...er...hobby. My boss and I have had several discussions surrounding fine timepieces. On occasion, we also get to talk with clients about their watches - if I notice something unique. My box has a Rolex Cellini and enjoys it quite a bit. It is his pride and joy from a watch standpoint.So, one day he mentioned that he had some old watches of his dad's and that he would give them to me. He has no children and preferred that they go to someone who would appreciate them. The topic was discussed and not brought up again. Hey everyone:When posting or replying, there are smileys on the right hand side (12 of them) When I click on the more option underneath, they do not appear. Does anyone else have this issue? Or do they appear in a seperate window? Pop up? Just trying to figure out what I should configure.Thanks!

Vintage Speedmaster service: is this a dilemma?
I own mostly Rolex, thus my joining this forum, but I also love the Speedy and have two of them, one modern, one vintage. The vintage piece is a 145.012-67. I bought it with no known service history. It's in fairly good shape except the hour totalizer is not resetting to zero and running about 25 sec fast per day avg - faster when its worn, not quite as fast when face up off the wrist. Had it for a year now and thought I'd better think about getting it serviced.Upon contacting a recommended watchmaker / service center - now independent, but formerly omega authorized - I was told the following:1. pushers and crown must be replaced (standard)2. crystal must be replaced (standard to restore water resistance ¡­ gaskets too)3. If there is a lot of mildew or degrading tritium on the dials, the dial should be replaced. #3, the dial, appears to be a deal breaker doesn't it? But the service center says if flakes or dust from degrading tritium markers get into the movement, that is a problem.Wha
