Franck Muller 1000-SC wrist watches news:
Not quite ready to pull the trigger yet, but I'm kind of split between 3 watches. Even after making a decision (which is subject to change at any time, of course ) it may be difficult to find one or two of the choices, but life's full of challenges...#1 - First up, Ball Aviator 44mmI love the look of this watch, but finding a 44mm instead of the more popular 46mm could be difficult. The only thing I would prefer is a better depth rating, but I could live with not swimming with it - I don't do much swimming anymore anyway...#2 The upcoming Lum-Tec M65. I don't have a black/orange combination and the cobalt chromium sounds waaay cool. Problem with this one is that it does look similar (dial-wise) to my M61, but that wouldn't worry me too much, as the different dial colours (blue vs black/orange) would make the watches different enough for me. Also 44mm#3 The Dievas Vortex Professional. 500m WR, 44mm, and I don't have a white dial watch anymore (it's a reverse lume dial). Problem with
I can be rough on watches. I want a watch that is large, shock resistant, diver like, and not have many hands. Day and or date is a plus.I ordered a Seiko Monster. I read that the watch gains time on a daily basis. I may give it to my son. Is there a watch that is say 44mm or so that is durable, keeps excellent time, and can be bought for under $350?I looked at the Marathon SAR and the JSAR. But the price of the braclets ran me away from these choices.
Have an opportunity to pickup a Navitimer 01 limited in the tobacco town dial.Thoughts on wearability, readability etc. . .I know it is a Navitimer so by their very definition they are busy and this is 46mm which is normally outside my size range, I found this easily wearable and easy to read the time.Love the overall look and have always wanted to add a Navitimer to my collection.Thoughts, thanks.
Hi guys,My Pam (calibre OP1) has a winding issue. The crown is stuck in the time set mode (can only move the hour and minute hands), so I cannot wind the watch. Furthermore, the watch is not keeping time because the crown is stuck on the time set mode, so it's essentially dead. Anyone experience this before?Unfortunately, I just purchased this second-hand watch and am pretty upset. And yes, I've reached out to the seller. Any insight would be appreciated.
Was at Shreve in SF today. Lots of PM (including WG Pepsi) but only SS sport models they have in stock are a white dialed Milgauss, white Explorer II, and black Explorer. Not taking any more orders on BLNR or LN. 30 deep wait-list on SS Pepsi, and they expect to get one or two this year. Also should note that they were very friendly with zero attitude which is always appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
