Audemars Piguet Audemars Piguet 19902 wrist watches news:
We've been fortunate to have a couple Christopher Ward pieces come in for review here at worn&wound. With both the C8 Pilot and C5 Malvern dress watch, Christopher Ward has displayed clearly that they are capable of bringing their customers well designed, high quality watches at very reasonable prices. ?For the past several weeks we've been putting the C10 Aviator through its paces, Christopher Ward’s modern take on the classic pilot watch. So, at $515, does the C10 live up to Christopher Ward's reputation?Case: Stainless steel w/ matte finishMovement: 26 Jewel Sellita SW200-1 automaticLume: SuperluminovaLens: Anti-reflective sapphireStrap: Italian calf leatherWater Res.: 50MDimensions: 42mmThickness: 10mmLug Width: 22mmCrown: Screw downWarranty: CW360 Care ProgramPrice: $515Christopher Ward designed the C10 in the image of the classic B-Uhren pilot watches, but with wearability and versatility in mind. ?As they note on the product page, a "triangular reference point at 12 O&
Wonder if I could get information on the following? The watch is a 1680 Sub, serial no. 3.06 million. The watch appears to be in exellent original condition in all respects, but I have a couple of questions about the dial and whether it is likely original, an (older?) service replacement, or something else. The visual background on the dial is that it is an even matte black with very neat, crisp lume markers that have faded to a somewhat creamy color. It is marked "Swiss - T<25." The lettering is all-white, which is the source of my questions.1. The serial number range clearly is in the red range. Were all Subs in this range "red" or were there white dials as well?2. If this dial would originally have been red, is it possible to assess the approximate date of the replacement dial? (When, approximately, would Rolex stop using dials marked T<25 as in-service replacements? - understanding that there are scenarios that could change that answer, like a NOS dial installed by som
Ok, the (arguably) most discussed / sought Basel '08 model - the DeepSea - has hit the stores or in the process of hitting the stores. Has anyone heard / seen any of the other Basel '08 models? What about the Day Date II's? The new 18K Sub? My local AD had the 18k rose-gold Daytona for about 20 minutes before it sold a few weeks ago. I haven't seen it but he said it was pretty nice looking if you liked gold watches. Much nicer then the pictures look he said.So how about it.. Anyone seen these other new models? I know for me I've very interested in seeing a Day Date II. It's not on the "get list" but I'm really looking forward to seeing how it sits, looks & feels on the wrist...
I have caseback openers, screw drivers and a nifty professional pin pusher that works like a pair of pliers. I keep saying I'll take photos, but I forget or get lazy.I find the pin pushers the most handy. How about you?
Hey guys,So, i found a watch online that I think has a very unique style. This watch is a wrist watch that has a pocket watch style to it. I think it has a very classic and elegant look, and I would love to have one. however I found only one place that has it and I don't really like the big brown strap that they have on it. I would prefer a more elegant looking strap, possibly black alligator leather, or something else that is clean cut, and simple. I know that BOVET makes many wrist watches with the pocket watch style, however their prices run 30,000 and up; a little out of my price range. I was wondering if anyone here has ever seen a similar watch anywhere else, or perhaps knows an online vendor that sells it. check this out for an idea of what I'm talking about:Google Image Result for wernersflyingwatches/images/products/large/196.jpg
