Ball NM1068DLJWHBK wrist watches news:
I'm considering a 15400 with the silver dial. Going to see one in person for the first time on Thursday at the Vegas boutique-- planned the trip in part around seeing that watch. I've already been in touch with a sales advisor at the boutique, and she knows what I'm interested in.What's the general sense of whether I'd be stuck paying MSRP or whether they'd give any consideration? I'd be a first-time AP customer and would absolutely be wearing it and not storing in a safe or flipping it. My only other major watch purchase was through a TS here (Thanh/AkaTakuya) and it was a flawless process at a great price.I'm curious whether there's much room to move at an AD. I've seen posts on here about other brands and models seeing as much as a 20-25% discount at ADs (on PM Rolex models, from what other users suggested) and the grey pricing is comparable to that pricing that those users reported. Appreciate any thoughts, insight, etc!
Yesterday I decided that today is the day to go down and try on some AP's. Granted I have tried on a 15300 before but that was it and I really wanted to see what they were all about as I love them in pics. Well, my closest AD is 2 and a half hours so I woke up early and took a half day at work then made the drive down to Naples. I must say that the AD could not have been any nicer. Their staff treated me like a VIP client even though I told them I had no interest in buying today and that I was just looking. I ended up talking watches for about 2 hours in there and had an absolute blast! Definitely worth the 5 hours in the car yesterday. Onto what i tried on. The first watch I tried on was a IWC Ingeniuer..no pics but a cool watch nonetheless. After fooling around with that and some other pieces for a bit I finally made it to the AP SectionThe first AP I tried on was the ROO Panda on a bracelet. WOW!! I always liked this watch in pictures but when I tried it on, I knew it was for me. Un
I am wearing one of my favorite recent acquisitions today, a 2538.20. I lusted for this watch for about 10 years. Picked it up about 6 weeks ago in 95% condition ($1700 shipped ). Love it!Is it me -- or does it have an extra thick case (and weighty feel) versus other 300M Seamasters.
Hi all,I¡¯m itching for something new maybe something historic like the 663 or 372. I currently own a 1312 and would like something to complement it. Both pieces would probably see even wrist time as I would rotate them daily. I¡¯ve been digging around the forums and 663/372 have caught my eye, however I have a couple of questions/concerns-1- I¡¯ve never owned a timepiece with a plexi Crystal. Should I be concerned about scratches on the plexi? I really try hard to keep my watch is in mint condition and I¡¯m worried that the plexi would show lots of wear. Am I just being paranoid?2- I like the idea of a larger case and 1312 fits my wrist nicely. Do you think that the larger 47 MM case would be OK on my wrist (see picture below)?Let me know your thoughts! Thanks in advance!!David
