I'm about to buy my first expensive watch!
I was flicking through some magazine and seen the omega seamaster PO advertised instantly falling in love with its beauty, it's taken me 10 weeks of effect to save ?2000 to buy this fine watch, but now I have the money I'm thinking seriously I should buy an even better omega costing twice the price and taking another 10 weeks to save, perhaps the Broad Arrow or 18k Aqua Terra? This is the first expensive watch costing over ?350 I have brought and maybe the last so I don't want to go for second fiddle, I've got the itch to buy the PO tomorrow but really like the Broad Arrow,Thing is I have to be totally modest if my parents ask how much I spent on a watch, they will just call me irresponsible again so the 18k Aqua Terra might be out the question for now but. Warming to PAM - But something is missing
Ok guys.. Need your help here.. I've always admired Panerai's in pictures or on other peoples wrists. The large, rugged designs are great. As a 'large watch' guy, there's very little that doesn't suit me with Panerai. It's an obvious no-brainer for me to add to my collection...BUT - every time I try one on I seem to be left with something still missing. I can't seem to get the "WOW!! This is a great watch!" reaction when I strap one on. I seem to just be left wanting something, and I can't put my finger on what that something is...Anyone else have this problem when they were just getting into Panerai? I really want to like it on the wrist, so I'm looking for anything to help I'm even considering getting a Marina or other homage brand to see if maybe it's just a matter of wearing the design for awhile Come on all.. Give me your thoughts & opinions.. What really make Panerai be the WOW! watch to you?

Decision (almost) made...Aquanaut Final Question: 5164A or 5167A
You guys have been great and have helped me get to where I am with my decision. My final dilemma : 5167A or 5164A I'm on the fence and like both of these very much. There's a pretty big price jump from the 5167 to the 5164 and I already have a Rolex GMT, but I like the aesthetics better of the 5164. My thought is to get the 5167, but do you think I will regret it? Or, be happy that I saved 15k and get another Patek :) ?

so i bought my SS sub date in Dec. and i have read a few times on here about how fast the date changes on the new rolexs and what not.so on new years i thought it would be cool to film in the date change at midnight in slow-mo, well i did just that but my date did not change at midnight i waited 30 or so secs before i gave up and then popped the crown thinking maybe somehow i screwed up and set it wrong but as soon as i popped my crown the date changed.i have had no problems with this watch at all... its been a champ runs -1 sec a day im very happy.just wondering if it should be changing the date at midnight or not?thanksMike
