- What a striking watch. The watch face is ger than I would have expected, but it just looks so good. I got this for my partner and he's absolutely thrilled with it! It is sleek, simple, elegant, and substantial. It's perfect!

- I bought this watch for my mom for Christmas because she was looking for an "expandable" band, which is hard to find. This is a very pretty watch with nice detail. Good price for quality. Recommend to others.

Baume & Mercier A10007 wrist watches news:
A couple of years ago, we did a guide for dress watches under $1k. Looking at it now, I feel it's time to do another one, with some different options. The watches mentioned there are still valid, but we've seen plenty of watches since then that make the cut too. That said, true dress watches are not really that common, nor really that needed. Rather, watches that are good for work and the occasional formal setting, but could probably be worn whenever and wherever, made the list. So, if you're looking for an alternative to you divers, pilots and tool watches, here are a few good options.Orient Bambino $182?We just reviewed this one last week; between the price and the style it's a sure fire winner. Rose gold markers, pearlescent dial, and an insane domed crystal come together for a design that feels vintage, but doesn't look derivative. If you're on a budget, it's also just one of the best buys out there, with a Japanese made automatic movement and a price tag of $182. But, you don't ha
Back in the late 50s, the era of cars with fins and other futuristic stuff, Elgin came out with what they called the 'Horizon Look'. These watches had crystals that completely covered the front of the watch - dial, bezel, and all. They thought it was the look of the future, but that didn't pan out. Still, the watches, with the correct wraparound crystal, are quite striking. The picture doesn't do it justice, sadly. At about this time, Hamilton came out with their asymmetrical models, which to this day often command high prices. I guess we know which 'watch of the future' caught on!
Anyone have an eye on something new? If so, whacha lookin' at?
I have been enjoying my babies lately (Hamilton Jazzmaster and Glashutte Spezimatic) but I hate not having a watch when I am working in the yard or doing heavy work or riding the Harley. I would really like a "work" watch but I cannot spend over $300 on a watch knowing that it will get destroyed (I play and work hard). What do you guys think are some good watches that are VERY rugged and still look good? I have been looking at some luminox but everytime I look at one I just think lum-tec. Any suggestions are appreciated!
Just taking delivery of my green canvas strap from time connection. Will see how my 233 likes the new shoes. Still love the storm grey from toshi straps. The leather is so soft and supple on that one. This strap feels a little stiff at the moment so am hoping it will loosen up after a few wears.
