Super jubilee discontinued. Why?
When Rolex released the new Datejust 36 this year at Baselworld much to my disgust they have decided on using a sporty oyster clasp on the jubilee bracelet just like the DJ 41 and new jubilee GMT Pepsi and are phasing out the beautiful super jubilee. Why oh why are they making dress watches with sports watch clasps on them it baffles me and makes them look worse IMO. In my mind a Datejust jubilee should have a beautiful continuous bracelet just like the presidential. So I��ve been wanting a Datejust 36 for many years now and because of Baselworld and those new TT DJ��s with that new clasp I decided I needed to get myself a super jubilee before the SS ones are updated next year. So yesterday I went to my local AD in the UK and purchased a stainless steel and fluted bezel 116234. The salesperson told me this is the last one they have and they have now been discontinued already! (even though a replacement wasn��t even announced this year) and Rolex won��t let them order any more in.I would lo
