- they should have made a flexible thinner mesh watch band for the watch face...........instead Fendi made this stainless steel band that is stiff and too busy looking for the watch face. It is overpriced as well.

Baume & Mercier Baume & Mercier 1396 wrist watches news:
American-made watches are sort of a conceptual grail to many of us state-side collectors. Once upon a time the US was a major player in the watch industry…something we all know. Hamilton, Bulova, Gruen and Elgin, to name a few, were all serious contenders who were capable of manufacturing everything from movements to cases right here in the US. They also used Swiss parts and manufacturing, but each brand had a solid core in America, spread out from Brooklyn, NY to Columbus, Ohio. But it was lost, and to many forgotten. Now, with the revitalization of American manufacturing, and the growing popularity of analog watches, brands are coming back, slowly reshaping the industry. Famously, there is RGM in Lancaster, PA, who are the only true watch manufacture (make their own movements, including a tourbillon) on US soil. Then you have Kobold, who make their own tough-as-nails cases and modify movements, also in PA. You then have a few brands that make over seas and assemble here, such as

The Berner Is Finally OnlineWhat is probably the best dictionary of horology is finally online. The famous Berner named after its author G.-A. Berner who published his Professional Dictionary of Horology for the first time in 1961 can be accessed here.So if in doubt just consult the Berner.
I know this comes down to being my choice but would like to hear some opinions. I am aiming to buy my first gold watch in 2018. I have basically ruled out YG. Just too much for me right now. I'm 31 and live in ND and can foresee A LOT of unwanted comments. So WG it is, which doesn't leave a whole lot of options. I'm leaning towards the Blue Sub. Already have a LN and LVc should be here soon. So would it be dumb to add another sub? The GMT is really nice but after seeing it in person I'm not in love with the bezel, and I already own the BLNR so I'd be adding another GMT to the collection. My holy grail is the DD with black dial and baguette markers, but once again I'm 31, live in ND, and my job is really laid back, mostly work from home, and only dress up a handful of times every year. So taking into consideration those thoughts and options, what would you chose? Should I wait to see if anything new in WG is released at Basel? Should I look at another brand? Or should I ju
