A man can dream.....Dewitt repeater tourbillon gmt antipode:DeWitt¡¯s latest high complication now offers the one thing that collectors desire as much in a watch as a quality complicated movement and an ingenious design: guaranteed exclusivity. The company will never manufacture more than a handful of examples of its $420,000 DeWitt Academia Minute Repeater Tourbillon GMT Antipode (305.572.9812, Montres DeWitt S.A.) for the simple reason that the specialty house that created the base movement has closed. Before the closure, however, specialist BNB Concept had begun to receive praise for the excellence and clarity of its tourbillon/minute repeater movement. Newbie help with buying Chronograph
Hi AllThis is my first post on the forum, and I'm looking for help!I want to buy a good chronograph for up to ¡ê5kThis is to supplement my current collection which isBlancpain 50 fathoms, not the current sapphire crystral bezel, but the previous raised numeral stainless steel design. Black face, closed back, date at 4:30 only complication. Currently on a hirsh faux carbon fibre strap as I got fed up with the Blancpain deployment rubber straps deteriorating quickly.Zenith Elite Gold watch with Sunburst Gold dial, display back, second hand in subdial at 6, date at 3. On brown alligator strapCorum Gold watch, manual movement. Don't really know the model, but it has a curved concave back for comfort on the wrist, and an unusual varied depth to the watch face, enabling this to remain completely flat. Solid gold back, no second hand or date. This is very much a dress watch, on a black alligator strapEbel simple white face, steel bracelet in wave form - Quartz!Baume et Mercier Capeland, Black

15300 Back from Service
As promised, photos of my blue dial 15300...H Serial, post Spa.The impetus for sending to Clearwater was a broken hairspring, but a full-service was required. OUCH! So...I also decided to have the marks (mostly on bezel and near lugs) removed via a refinish. The bracelet was looking a tad worn, but now all is up to snuff.The watch definitely needs more TLC than a Rolex but I do love it.
