Day Date II
Although I couldn't take pics I was able to try on the DDII in both WG and PT. The WG had a silver with diamond marker dial. The PT had Glacier Blue with Diamond Marker. The size, for me, was perfect!!! I was truly amazed and how great the proportions were on my wrist. The Smooth bezel is NOT rounded, it's more of a squared off step style bezel and although it doesn't look as nice as the smooth bezel it works well with this watch. The dial looks larger, and again, in proportion with the rest of the piece. The traditional fluted bezel was on the WG version and would be my choice. The diamond markers are a nice touch and not blingy at all...very classy without being over the top. I think that Rolex did a great job with the DDII and i'm waiting for a dealer to receive a catalog of all the dials to see what options are available. CheersChristiaan

My Orient GMT is off to OrientUSA to get repaired. I went to wind it the other day, and the crown just spun. I guess I hadn't noticed since I keep it on a winder.Hopefully Orient comes through with flying colors.

It has been a long time coming. I've admired AP from afar for quite some time now and after coming close a couple times over the past year, I finally pulled the trigger. I am the proud owner for my first AP, a Royal Oak Chrono! I can't even begin to describe how beautiful this watch is. We all know the dial is mesmerizing, but the craftsmanship on the bracelet is just superb. I love how the brushed and polished parts catch the light as it almost dances on the wrist. I've attached a wrist shot below, more to come once I stop over it.Only one problem though. I've had this bad boy for about 6 hours now and I'm already figuring out which AP to buy next! Oh well, looks like it's time to hunt down a Titanium Schumi. P.S. Many thanks to MB23 for coming through in the clutch and getting me a great deal after the ADs failed to deliver.
