Guys, we're falling behind Invicta - go to the General Discussion forum and vote in the poll that's stickied at the top titled "Most popular brand among forum members". Do you want us to be second best behind any brand?....don't let the members in the Original Invicta Forum get wind of this - they have an army ready to invade Omegaland, and those guys are mean!
I used my Submariner last night to time our steaks and they came out to a perfect medium rare. That green bezel works great as a kitchen timer.
Hi all. Not only am I new to watches, but I am new to this site.I got this watch as a gift:Official Tissot WebsiteA quartz tissot.I have been scratching my head on how to use this thing its giving me a headache. I have a few questions if you guys don't mind humoring me.1. I pull the crown to the second position to change the date. The crown responds only by turning counter clockwise, and not clockwise. 2. When I pull the crown to the third, all the way out position, I can adjust the time - the hour and the minute hand. I've noticed that the crown moves opposite of my fossil watch. If i turn the crown clockwise, the time moves backwards. If I turn the crown CC - it moves forward. 3. When I keep turning CC - the date will eventually change. This is the strange part. The date will change when the hands form 1:03. not at 12. Is this how your watches behave as well?4. The big red second hand is mainly used for the chronograph. The second hand subdial located at the 6 position is
I'm celebrating my 41st year in the United States today. My mom and I came here from Japan after she married my dad and we settled in Louisiana. Wearing a Seiko SKX009 to tie in my Japanese heritage. The stogie is there, well, because we're having hardwood installed and I'm just chillin' on the patio.Sent from AtlantaDave's iPhone 4 using Tapatalk
I got this watch on ebay a couple of weeks ago,....it lacked a crystal, the hands were tangled, and the dial looked like this......Took it to my watch guy, who got it together and now it runs great, got a new crystal, and the hands move smoothly past each other ....The cool part is that I picked it up for $57, and it's solid 14k gold....weighing 9.5 grams, and the scrap value is something along the lines of $247 ...........My watch guy will do down and dirty oils for me, and it only cost me $25 to get that work done ......now I know what you're thinking, but he really is good, he is just a big ole softy, and so I get a serious discount in the work I have done .........so here's the photo's, and the question is ....at what? 60 to 100 to re-do the dial, would it increase the value by a significant amount, ....not to mention, is it in the kind of condition that reeeealy needs re-doing.....this first shot is the watch as it is in it's case........then, there's the "Naked Truth" !!!and th
