Ref 9-90 an icon
The ref 9-90- is in my opinion one of the most beautiful in house movements made by PP in the ¡°golden Age¡± of watch making. Beautifully engineered the rectangular movement made between the late 1930¡¯s and mid 1950¡¯s was clothed by the most spectacular rectangular cases. With inspirations from both the art deco and the art nouveau period these pieces have never been bettered in terms of design- often copied by re-editions such as the Pagoda (ref 5500) and 10 day ( ref 5100).The movement is a rectangular work of art measuring 18 X 25.6 mm. It was released in 2 batches. Movement numbers 830 000 ¨C 839 999 between 1934 and 1950 whilst the movement numbers of 970 00 ¨C 977 889 between 1947 and 1967. ( yes that late!)This makes a total of 17 888 movements made, however not all of them were used ¨C witness the latest release from PP the 5105 to celebrate the opening of the new PP boutique in Geneva. A few movements just happened to be found for the release of this platinum masterpiece. Who know

Was flipping through WatchTime magazine and there was an article on him and his watches.He has quite a few brands including IWC and Rolex (Yacht Master is one of daily wearers). He says he likes PP but doesnt think they could cope with been a beater hehe.

The face is a linen material with diferent shades of brown and gold. It's really very stunning in person....please help me with any history of this interesting piece since we don't have a vintage forum for pieces like this....Thanks Everyone!

Hello guys, new to the forums here. i'm looking to purchase a new AP ROC 26320 silver/white dial from an AD very soon. This will be my first higher end watch and i've done some research on here. i was wondering what kind of discount is acceptable from an AD? I was told 25% discount from msrp. Does that sound reasonable? Thanks in advance for the help! Will post pics soon after picking it up!Cheers,Wilson

I am trying to find information on the lug-to-lug distance for both PAM 1392 and PAM 1312. Can't figure out which size I want and I wasn't able to stop by an AD.Here are the specs I have so far:Panerai 1392Diameter = 42.0 mmCase thickness = 13.2 mmLug width = 22.0 mmLug to Lug - ?Panerai 1312Diameter = 44.0 mmCase thickness = 15.6 mmLug width = 24mm Lug to Lug - ?Anyone have the missing info?
