Baume & Mercier Baume & Mercier 35577 wrist watches news:
I'm partial to center second hands as opposed to small sub dial second hands, so would really like a chrono with only two sub dials, the minute and hour accumulators, respectively. Two center second hands would be present with one, unique to the chrono, color coded to go with the same color sub dials. If such exists in any line, I'm not familiar with it. This got little response on another board. I have to think that no existing movements permit it. Being new, though, there could be, or have been such without my knowledge.
I got my first Rolex as a wedding gift from my DarlingBride in 1995. This will always be my favorite watch.A 14k/SS 6694 from 1972. I've never seen another TT 6694

I chanced upon the Seiko MarineMaster 300m this evening while I was at the KLCC. So I tried it on wrist to see if this highly raved watch will be mine. (BTW I was hoping to see the Seiko Sumo for the third time...lol...I was smitten by the blue Sumo recently while in Singapore). The MM is a nice tool watch with good finish. The domed crystal's AR could be better imho. Overall a very serious high grade dive watch but it didnt really speak to me. There a few other nice JDMs at the same dealer, namely the Prospex Land Monster and the Flightmaster. But in my heart, the Sumo calls out. There's no Sumo here....so I am still clean....it's been 4 months since I last purchased a watch...lol.
Just read on the does rolex read trf thread that rolex is beneath JLC. While I know brands like JLC and Zenith have made their own movements after the swatch group move, and I respect JLC; I would not rank them above Rolex. What is your take on Rolex vs JLC?
