Baume & Mercier MOA08600 wrist watches news:
Famed photographer Helmut Newton first worked with Paul Picot in the early 90s. To celebrate Newton’s legacy, Paul Picot is sponsoring an online photo contest. The brand is issuing a call to art aficionados to celebrate Newton’s work by interpreting one of his famous pieces with a fresh and innovative approach. Read on for full details…Paul Picot has selected an original Helmut Newton image, and entrants are to reinterpret the image in their own way. The scope is broad and open to the imagination. The contest is open to everyone. To view the original Helmut Newton image, and to learn more about the contest, visit paulpicot.ch. In the menu in the upper left, click “Newton Photo Contest”. Having lurked for a long while(with only the smallest break in the lurking), I had a question I'd wondered about. Having been looking back in time to page 100+ in the forums, I feel there's less wider-ranging horological discussion than there is individual watch discussion, with mostly "Look at what I bought" and "What should I buy" threads tending to be most common(as much as I know we all like to look at shiny things). So, tiny comment aside, the real question is this: What seems the be the general "ranking" of complications in terms of most difficult to implement? I know there are almost innumerable complications, ranging from the esteemed (gyro)tourbillon to an automatic winding system, which is so common as to barely be considered a complication at all, but what would you guys consider the general difficulty levels to be?PS: Feel free to add any strange ones as well that you consider interesting or unique as well, like the rotor power reserve on the Blancpain L-Evolution Tourby. Here is my situation. I have a deposit with my AD for a 5712 in SS. He was just informed that they will be getting only 2 (they usually get 4) for all of 2018. I was originally told that I would be getting one in 2018 but with them only getting 2 for the year he thinks that I may not now. He offered me the next 5712R they get with a 10% discount. It would be 39k+ after discounting which would make it the same price as a new SS 5712. I'm not sure I really want the 5712 on a strap but at this price I'm extremely tempted. There is still the chance I would get one of the two SS 5712. What should I do?
