Gucci Launches New Watch for 2013 Grammy Awards
The 55th Annual Grammy Awards will take place this weekend in Los Angeles, and for the third year in a row, Gucci Timepieces & Jewelry will release a new, Grammy-branded wristwatch to coincide with the music industry’s biggest night. In 2010, Gucci launched its Grammy Special Edition watch collection as part of a three-year partnership with The Recording Academy, organizers of the Grammys. The latest edition to the collection is a timepiece whose design offers a variation on Gucci’s interlocking “Double G” motif, which is incorporated into the bezel. There are two models, each with stainless-steel cases that measure 42 mm in diameter. One has a sun-brushed finish and a black dial; the other has a black PVD finish and a dark yellow dial. The minimalist dials ¡ª with the ¡®Gucci¡¯ logo at 12 o’clock ¡ª are enlivened by circular-grained surfaces that recall the grooves on a vinyl record. For watches-dealer coverage of Baselworld 2013 watches and other new products, we are going to follow in our own footsteps based on what seemed like effective?coverage of SIHH 2013. What does that mean? The Oysterquartz was last shown in 2002 in the offical dealers catalog.The prices for Germany in € :The bracelets...360,- / 1840,- / 8865,- / 9860,- / 34.820,- (from left to right in €)...and the dials. And I have to admit that the choice for the Day-Date was not to bad.First time it was shown in a german pricelist was in 1978 (2300,- DM)Long live the Oysterquartz
