- This is perfect for the man in uniform. They can only wear minimal accessories, and have to be a certain width and thickness. My son really likes this watch. He likes the dress appearance, even with jeans.

Baume & Mercier Baume & Mercier 23677 wrist watches news:
Today, Glashutte-based Nomos is introducing two new higher-end watches; the "Lambda" and the "Lux (discussed here)" We chose to cover each of them in a separate article. This is the Lambda, and with it is the Lux we will cover in another post. Both are similar timepieces that are offered in different case shapes - each with questionable namesAvailable in either 18k rose or white gold, these Teutonic timepieces take what we already love about Nomos to a new, more "luxury" playing ground. Each of course contains a totally in-house made Nomos mechanical movement and a minimalist Bauhaus style. The announcement of these more luxury watches is a bit strange because it goes against what the brand is for many people. Nomos is where you go when you want a well-made mechanical watch without the typical luxury pricing premium. Most will agree that the Lambda could be more expensive for sure, but it is certainly a much more expensive product compared to what we are used to seeing from the fine Ger
Here's a cool copper dial for an old Basis chronograph that I saved from a box of junk a few weeks ago. Been sitting on my desk so thought I'd share some pics:
Ran across this on YouTube and thought it was cool. The making of a Blancpain Tourbillion on How it's Made. It gives a look at some of the fine craftsmanship and skill that goes into making a fine timepiece.
I've only done some very minor calculations, but it seems that an all gold watch, let's say a Submariner, is much more expensive than a SS version, and at the same time, the value of the gold itself does not seem to match the higher price. For example, msrp for a SS Sub Date is 8,550. But a gold Sub Date is like 26k. I don't think there is 17k worth of gold in that watch, is there? Maybe 8-10k at most. Is the gold just harder to work with? What else might account for the price difference?
Curious how many Sea Dwellers there are on TRF?I'm a new owner.
